Did anyone else see Peter King on "Meet The Press" this morning compare Rand Paul to Charles Lindbergh and accuse him of trying to "make the world more dangerous" and "damage the Republican Party, the U.S. and the world"?

Sounds like something Peter King would say.

Sarah Palin accused Obama of "palling around with terrorists" because of what Bill Ayers did 30 years before Obama ever met him when he was eight years old. However, Peter King has the distinction of being the only member of Congress who actually did pal around with terrorists in every sense of the word. There's no way King could get a top secret security clearance if he was appointed rather than elected.

Paul-Thune or...
Possibly, Paul-Walker... I wonder how that ticket would be received?

I'd be tempted to actually vote for a Paul-Napolitano ticket, but that would never happen.

People like Peter King are what's keeping me away from the GOP.

That the zombie apocalypse was upon us, and we really don't need another Fast & Furious.
In all honesty, the fact that Walker did not graduate college would definitely hurt the ticket. Rand is going to have an uphill battle already with the media. The VP needs to be someone safe and could deliver something that Rand cannot, whether it be women or whatever. The super conservatives would vote for him no matter what, and he'll do his part to broaden the ticket.
Maybe Carly Fiorina? Maybe Ben Carlson? Maybe someone who pops up on the scene? Dream would be Lee.
But first thing is first. Gotta get the nod from Republicans who will do their best to not allow him the nomination. Ricky Santorum and Mike Huckabee, along with Jeb still draw a lot of water from the old guard and social conservative bases.
Luckily for Rand, his dad went through the primary battles in the states, laid the groundwork, and has people in place with a knowledge of how the primaries work.

I'm a big fan of Ben Carson
Ben Carson is a perfect choice if you want Hilary or any generic democrat to win the whitehouse. Carson will eventually admit some shite that he won't be able to wiggle out of....there is absolutely too much smoke there for there not to be any fire....he has already lumped homosexuals in with child molestors and those who would sexually abuse animals as groups seeking special rights....you just can't make shite like that up...it takes a special brand of stupid to say such things in such a formal setting then act surprised when the people of this nation don't still worship you.....

Mother of God. Santorum must go away. He can't be anywhere near the primaries if the Republicans want to look appealing.

Good. He needs a new speech therapist but I hope Rand Paul gets the nomination.

I'm torn on these primaries - part of me wants Rand to embarrass these old RINO morons on a national stage, but then I'm worried that the media wont give Rand his fair share of time in order to get a guy with no shot of beating a Dem more time. fricking shoot me if Perry gets 10 minutes to answer and Rand like :30.
Posted on 3/10/14 at 9:40 am to Zantrix
We aren't going to have another buzz saw for a primary process are we?

If past is prologue, and things play out for Rand the way they did for Ron, Paul's biggest enemy will be FOX News and the Republican establishment.
Posted on 3/10/14 at 9:47 am to trackfan
Ron's problems with the press were exacerbated by his speech and public speaking style.
I like him and most of his stances....but he came off as a whiny, goofy old man. That probably makes a difference to some people

Do you think FOX News is that superficial, and that ideology had nothing to do with it?
