No, the CBO was wrong before and they're still wrong now.

Then why do you think Rand Paul is a moron for agreeing with you?

Let's hope he has the time so everybody can be on the same page - Trump budget years don't hit until 2030 or 2035. All we can hope for in the meantime is some tweaking of spending that's already laid out for several years - Biden budgets as far as you can see.

Hell, if Rand and Massie were on board and there was no Republican opposition to the BBB, then we wouldn't hear even a single solitary peep about this being "Biden's budget", now would we?

You should go back and read what I said again.

I understand what you've posted. I'm pointing out that Paul's stand against the bill while being supportive of the tax cuts is not moronic.

He annoyed me on the radio

He doesn't actually want to cut spending

He just wants us to have debt ceiling crisis

Debt ceiling useless - money already spent

Yes it is. He's advocating for the tax cuts while also downing the bill for increasing the deficit...which is based on making the tax cuts permanent. He wants it both ways.

That's a great question. How far off do you think they are? How far off were they with the original tax cuts?

Someone just posted some figures and historically it’s been pretty close.

I assumed you knew since you said you didn’t trust them. My bad.

No, it's not. You're reading what you want Paul to be saying, not what he's said. And you're assuming that he's basing all of his opinions/decisions on CBO. What if he believes tax cuts grow more than they cost, or even if there is a cost it's not meaningful in this debate because it keeps taxpayer money in taxpayers' hands ... and at the same time, believes the spending is out of line and based on history, has zero faith that the "future cuts in the rate of growth of spending" will never happen?

Is that a moronic POV?

FWIW, debt is not the main problem right now. The main problem in the past, present, and future is spending.

I agree that spending is absolutely the problem, which has resulted in debt, which is why Rand refuses to increase the ceiling billions of dollar to enable more reckless spending.

Two sides of the same coin.

Then Trump will give his budget for congress to vote on at the end of summer/beginning of fall.

Trump submitted his budget proposal. The grand total over 10 yrs was a $2–3 trillion cut from Potatobrain's budgetary projections. If that continues over the course of this administration (I'm hopeful it won't), Trump 47 will be a huge disappointment.

There are games afoot. Chuckie Cheeseburger says the $2–3 trillion cut from Potatobrain's budget by 2035 is going to kill us all. IMO Trump is trying for a little more budget wiggle room after the midterms. It's a gamble.
