But it not Bezos we should be targeting, he’s only doing what a smart businessman should be doing. The target is DC and all the politicians that are getting rich writing policies that allow people like Bezos and Gates and others to manipulate the system the way they do. If you change you have to correct the source not the result.
We can, and should, target both.

But lately on this board, "Republicans" have been bitching and complaining a lot about CEO's, corporations and wealthy people.
Is it because they have more money?
Or is it because they are guiding the country down the toilet with sjw bullshite while creating an authoritarian oligarchy with government protection/money?
I'm guessing most people complaining fall into the latter category.
Following your principles while you allow them to destroy the country doesn't make you honorable. It just makes you a sap.

Bingo.

There are loads on the Right that will argue until they're blue in the face against (finally) taxing Bezos. In their role as useful idiot for the uber-wealthy, they'll argue that if you're not a fan of welfare for billionaires or wealth transfers up the food chain, you're just jealous.
But here now. Right now. In the actual and in the present. He is being given taxpayer money by democrats. In the actual. No what if’s and no whataboutisms.
I thought these payoffs “we coming to an end with democrats in charge”.
Don’t let whataboutisms help you cope with lies. Do not let it be your coping mechanism. Accept you have been lied to. Again. Accept the shows and propaganda they put on for you is a lie.
Why tax anyone more if you are just going to hand it right back in kickbacks and payoffs??

No they won't.

No it isn't.

I agree, but not for doing what DC allows him to do. He probably has more than enough things to have him in prison for two lifetimes, but until you past DC none of it will matter.

Point me to your negative comments about foreign aid, welfare, food stamps, Section 8 housing, 47% not paying Federal Income Taxes, border jumpers costing us in excess of $100 billion a year and all of the other handouts that my tax money goes to and I will apologize.
You should already know my posting history if you feel capable of rendering a judgment about my politics.
My posting history makes my politics pretty clear. I called the fake healthcare crisis before 99% of this board caught on, and I've been crystal clear about the border, the race industry, etc., etc.

I hate ALL handouts. But lately on this board, "Republicans" have been bitching and complaining a lot about CEO's, corporations and wealthy people. That's what Democrats do.
Those statements are incongruous, and it's unfortunate you don't understand this.

I was shocked when I read what you wrote because there are only about 10 of us on this board who are real conservatives and I thought you were one of them.
Like conservatives sheltering in their basements a year ago and allowing governors and mayors to shut them out of their businesses, churches and schools, who then woke up to the politically-driven fakery that was Covid politics/industry of 2020, you will one day understand that there is exactly ZERO consistent between true conservatism and simping for Bezos, Zuckerberg, Gates, Bloomberg, Brin, Page and a few thousand others like them.
Why do you think some on the Right are bitching about a lot of CEOs, corporations and wealthy people? Could it be because those CEOs, corporations and wealthy people are waging political and economic wars on the middle class? Who do you think is funding BLM and making their "brand" mainstream while BLM advocates for the Marxism (not to mention the murder of police)? Who do you think made George Floyd a hero? Who do you think interfered in the 2020 elections? I could go on and on about the ways the far left, funded/resourced by these assholes, are "reimagining your country and middle class existence," but I'm sure you get the point.
Last thing - guys on the Right have a visceral need to advocate against "taxing the rich" like it's still 1985. The Reagan era ended decades ago, and American capitalism ain't what it used to be - as evidenced by this $10 billion bailout for Bezos space company, and on a grander scale the economics of Covid. In this view, there are millions of conservatives that play useful idiot for the uber-wealthy, and that is increasingly more a political matter than it is an economic one.

I'll guarantee the whiners give more to these corporations they whine about than I do.
You are probably in that group.

When the 47% starts paying their "fair share", MAYBE then I will worry about the high rate not being 50% instead of a "low" 39%.
These guys are legally avoiding paying taxes and trust me, small business owners do it also.
How about this change since you are worried about corporations, let's tax corporations on receipts and individuals on gross income and create a 5% national sales tax, so the rest of the 47% freeloaders who aren't affected by no deductions start paying their fair share?
No deductions for anyone.
Stop patronizing these corporations. Boycotts work in large numbers, but people are lazy and would rather whine.

Okay so here goes my thing with Bezos. The dude hasn't raised his salary in 20 years so when people bitch about his income tax they know nothing.
Corporations get tax breaks for moving facilities to areas, even to Democrat states. They get tax breaks for all the research they invest in, for finding greener ways to do things. Again, tax breaks for being green, liberals should love this. And they made money because of Democrat shutdowns.
So please spare me this bullshite about the GOP. The left loves its billionaires. Case in point, Bernie fricking sanders, oh I hate war, I hate spending, oh you want to build war planes in my state, well come on in!
And during the pandemic Bezos donated $100,000,000.00 to feeding America. He can probably write that off. And you know what? I'd rather that money go straight into the food banks instead of the hands of politicians that will fund their own pet projects and their own wallets.

You would be wrong. At least in the case of many on the Right that see things differently than you do. Outside of politics, I could give a frick how much money Bezos or any of the guys you simp for have.

I made the point about the Reagan era nearly 40 years ago. You're making Reagan era arguments.
You don't have to be for loads of freeloaders on welfare to advocate for the guys fricking with your life to have to live with the politics they fund.

How about we stop giving the richest man on earth $100 billion? Everyone is (rightfully) up in arms about the $10 billion, but that's small compared to Bezos's Covid dividend, which was politically driven.

Why do you only complain about the wealthy and not the freeloaders?
Also, I dropped Amazon Prime in March 2020 because they were kissing the arse of BLM.
If just 10 million Republicans dropped Prime it would cost Amazon about $1.7 billion a year.

So is this already in a signed bill or a current bill like the infrastructure bill?
