1) Somewhat interesting that he felt the need to let people know that he's not part of the uniparty.
2) I always liked Rand, but imo he's simply straight-up jealous of President Trump. Rand was considered to be somewhat of an "outsider" himself, but in 2016 it was Trump who captured the imagination of the public instead of Rand.

I don't like the direction of today's Republican party
The libertarian-leaning Rand Paul is a constitutional conservative in the truist sense. He IS America First, though he doesn't publicly declare that.
By eliminating viable statesmen like Paul you're fashioning a GOP limited to Trump and the MAGA ilk, with no tolerance for political figures who can cross the aisle and build coalitions with the opposing party.
