Putin was once the head of Russia's KGB. The KGB was, and still is, Nazis Germany's Gestapo on steroids. Or you could do a bit of research & discover how many normal journalists are in prison for simply reporting on the truth about the Soviet government. Or research the existence of Russia's gulags & who is imprisoned there. No one hates the Russian people. It is the Soviet Government that is rightfully detested.

The Cold War’s over. It’s not the Soviet Union anymore. Russia is much more useful as an ally than an enemy.

First off, I’ve got zero problem with the people of Russia past or present and no problem with the CURRENT Russian regime.
Not sure how reparations are relevant but if you locate any slave owners or Bolshevik death squads I’ll come help you kick their asses at sonic or something.
