Keep in mind

1. Hilary has always been more liberal than Bill

2. Even the pre-2016 version of Hilary would barely fit in the current Democratic Party. For example, she went around giving speeches favoring her husband’s anti-crime legislation. Even as late as 2008, she was pro-Second Amendment and got accused by Obama of being Annie Oakley.

Her 2016 platform was pretty noticeably more liberal than her previous platforms, particularly on how she had done a dramatic flip flop on gun rights between 2008 and 2016.

Bill gets a lot of credit for being moderate when it was really Newt keeping him in line during his 2nd term.

Clinton is the one who drove the remaining Southern white males into the GOP.

There were Blue Dog Democrats such as Sonny Montgomery and Sam Nunn. Not after Clinton. They either retired or got beat.

Not really. The new divide is between woke lunatics and completely low-info/captured demographics, on the one hand, and everyone else on the other.

The moderate Southern Democrat even of 10 years ago basically doesn’t exist. Or to the extent it does, it has lost influence and credibility due to untreated TDS.

Clinton was very much a Blue Dog Democratic himself. That’s why he was the last Democratic presidential nominee to win a lot of the white Southern vote.

It wasn’t until 2010 that the South became Republican at the non-presidential level.

Not 2024 bill but Trump is kind of like a bill and he’s popular down here.

You really think the older white men that voted for Clinton all those years ago are going to vote Kamala?

They mostly already switched to Trump.

I get that. Which makes even more odd. Nobody I know ever admitted to voting for Clinton.

It was like that EWE too. Hard to find anyone that said they voted for him except for when Duke ran

Absolutely correct. A self admitted liar, with a wife/companion that is just off the charts bad. They are not convincing anyone (that is not already affiliated with them for the graft opportunities) to vote for anyone. Thankfully, their ship has long ago sailed, along with that lunatic Carville. Astonishing they ever held the strings of power in this great nation. They sold out the entire country for personal gain.

I feel there was a lot of us in our 50's and 60's did vote at that time. Unfortunately, a large majority didn't vote until Trump should up.

Bill tried telling Hilldog and her people it was about jobs, and she proceeded to tell a white male energy worker from Pa she’d just replace his job with something new, and it was all over.

He did not ever have it. Both times he needed a 3rd party candidate to help him win.

I feel like most of the whites in the south who really liked him are dead of old age or in nursing homes.

In our area, he only appealed to Dixiecrats and Libs. Dixiecrats are mostly gone now.
