Putin says he will aim his new hypersonic weapons @ US because of increasing hostility

toward Russia. These fly 9X the speed of sound and render defense weapons useless. Couple of things come to mind. First Trump is not doing a very good job as a "Russia first" agent or that is and always was complete BS.
Trump has tightened the screws economically and strategically on them and the wild arse and insane Mueller investigation has made Putin and Russia a daily punching bag for ridicule. Which has caused them to rationalize hatred of the USA and greatly increased their paranoia.
Bottom line is Trump tried to reach out to the Russians since they are the only country in the world capable of blowing us all away. And the insane Dems, driven by irrational hatred of Trump have reacted in a criminally politically crazed fashion and made the world far, far more dangerous. Every US president since Cuba crisis has made better relations with Russia a priority. But it took Trump pulling the upset to criminalize the effort to save the human race from an unspeakable and possible early end. Who knows what the future holds. But so far what we have found is a government held hostage by politicized and Nazi like one party control fanatics. And a national news media plus an entrenched democrat machine that has no regard for our representative form of government nor the will of the people. And just as sad I doubt any president from here on will try to make the peace with Russia. JMO.

You mean the technology they potentially obtained during the Skolkovo project pushed by the Clintons and their foundation donors??

Hey it worked for the NVA when they sent Viet Cong on the major offensive of Tet of '68, they killed off their political enemy that had become quite strong as an Army within itself

At the rate of fuel consumption required to carry a multiple warhead payload, how far can a hypersonic missile travel before it starts to cough and sputter? It would seem to me that these are for limited range use, not intercontinental. Anyone have knowledge of this subject?

Is this where those of us that have chosen to stay and raise families in Louisiana finally get the last laugh for not fleeing for a liberal utopia that is a target rich environment?
That and ease of access to crawfish of course.

Another prime target is interstate loops around cities for their strategic logistical importance.
Baton Rouge is safe for the next 40 years at least!

If Russia would agree to only take out those two cities along with Portland OR I would invite them to fire the missles this morning

Comrade Putin will be doing us a favor then .

Yeah, I want to see the complete test data before I am even going to remotely believe they have perfected launching a missile into space and having it re-enter and basically freefall to target...
I would be more concerned about their sub-based nuclear arsenal...

these weapons are pretty bad arse, and we can only hope that the US defense is being a little coy with how far along they are.

And the left will accuse Trump of colluding with Putin on which targets to hit first here in the states. Wait for it.

These hypersonic weapons that Putin has......
If they are so fast, and he already has them; they could be pointed at Antarctica and still be undetectable, indefensible blah blah blah.
I am not military or intellectually advanced in foreign policy, but this whole “pointing/aiming weapons at your adversary” thing is probably bullshite.
Also, we are America, we either have them, know how to defend them or , or see no need to have them.

CoolHookem
We will simply aim more at them.
And the mutually assured destruction game of chicken continues.

I tend to believe the same. Nobody knew about the stealth fighter/bomber program until the first gulf war, 10 years after their first maiden flights. Truth be said, we probably have the same hypersonic weapons and possibly (hopefully) a defense against such an attack.

It’s a good thing Russia doesn’t give a shite about Louisiana. I just hope the radiation doesn’t mess up the spring fishing.
