Therein lies the rub.
Our entire debt-financed monetary system is dependent upon the USD remaining the world’s reserve currency. And the ability to endlessly print currency on demand is the lifeblood of the Welfare-Warfare State.
No one should doubt that the powers that be would not hesitate to tripwire WWIII to maintain the status quo. The deeply embedded powers that control all the true levers of power in Washington D.C. have the morals of meth whores.

One of the countries will frick over the other one and do us a huge favor. My prediction is Putin will somehow frick over China and isolate himself and Russia even more than he has now. They still don't want to frick with the USA.

Without a doubt. China isn't going tether itself to a corpse. There is a ton of domestic historical, cultural, and geopolitical animosity for Russia in China. China and Russia won’t be long term strategic allies any more than China and India will be long term strategic allies.
China is going to utterly dominate Russia inside of a decade. Their hunger for Siberian resources and Arctic shipping infrastructure is why they are playing nice with Russia at the moment.

Well, let's look at other countries with currencies that could plausible take the title away from the USD:
UK - same 10-11% 2022 rate and still running above 5%
Eurozone - same story
Even perpetually deflationary Japan was over 4% for 2022.
