if I'm playing devil's advocate..... depending on how it's framed I could certainly see it putting more pressure on Putin to withdraw from Ukraine. obviously the action itself doesn't do anything to end the war but public sentiment may become "this is now hitting home."

Right. Because the nation and culture that historically has shown an insane willingness to bear the brunt of conflict on the civilian population to the tune of tens of millions of casualties is going to throw their hands in the air because of a theater attack.

Sadly, probably someone in our government. This isis is launching terror attacks on our perceived enemies.
I know some people are screaming that Russia has been oppressing Muslims and it makes sense for ISIS to attack Russia. But, we, as a nation...destroyed all the higher ups in ISIS. We and western Europe made them afraid to even show their heads.
But they hate Russia more than our countries, because Russia is against islam? ISIS themselves terrorized Muslims in the middle east. Christians got the brunt of their attacks, but they also destroyed muslims who didn't believe exactly what they believe. I just don't see the logic in them attacking Russia, without an outside influence giving orders.
Then again.. who knows. I'm going back to not giving a frick about anything that doesn't affect me or mine..
