re: Purebloods, looking back what was the primary reason you avoided the jab.

I might add when I heard it was mRNA based it remember studying Messenger RNA in biology and was thinking that could be dangerous tampering with RNA and DNA.

I believed my own eyes.
It wasn’t necessary for me and for an overwhelming majority.
Also, the idiots that went all in were a good indicator I was on solid ground in MY assessment.

I have siblings in the medical field from surgeons to nurses...all gave me confidence that my skepticisms about the jab were spot on...avoid it the best you can.

I avoided it initially because I'm skeptical of everything and I was a relatively healthy 40 year old. Believe it or not, I also had the voice of Alex Jones(whether you think he's crazy or not) in the back of my head echoing what he's been saying for years about a government introduced virus and the 'cure' or 'vaccine' being a mechanism for population control.
I also say my 70 year old father in law who was obese, 2 different heart surgeries, and in poor health shake it off like it was the common cold.
Then came the overt MSM push that you are the problem if you don't take it, etc. etc.
At that point I said I will never take another vaccine in my life.

Common sense. I was not about to be injected with a product that was rushed from nothing to production in a matter of weeks/months. There was no way I was going to allow anyone to inject me with something that was unproven and properly tested.
Proper vaccines that were proven to stop infections for other diseases took years to develop. Something like the Covid "vaccine" was rushed into development and distribution with hardly any viable testing on long term effects. Considering that the flu vaccine only helps keep you from getting infected with the strand it targets, and knowing how fast coronaviruses mutate, I knew there was no way in hell that vaccine would do anything.
We skeptics were proven right about our wariness to take it. As it went from "100% effective" to 0% in preventing the infection and spread of the disease almost immediately. Anyone with knowledge of how fast coronaviruses spread and mutate knew that any vaccine rushed onto market that quickly was worthless as soon as it began its journey on the conveyor belts at the plants that produced it.

Because any time I see clear attempts at manipulation and control, especially by a government I know to be corrupt, I do the opposite.
It was as plain as day that they were full of shite, so frick 'em.
Lost my job/career over it, lost a shite ton of money, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

And Fauci…

Among other things previously mentioned I was very skeptical about having a cure for the out so soon.
Bonus do yall remember the footage out of China of people falling over dead in the street. Very dubious,

The lack of testing, for one. I wasn't going to be forced to take an untested, unproven "vaccine." And the hard push to force everyone to get the jab was extreme governmental overreach. The lockdowns just reinforced the extreme nature of it. None of it made sense, social distancing, masks, local restaurants being shut down but corporate ones didn't have to, protestors and immigrants didn't need the vaccine but you did to keep your job. You can't go to church but Newscum could have wine parties unmasked, families being separated from dying loved ones. I could go on. All of it seemed like some evil government control shite to me.

The whole thing of coming back in 21 days to receive the 2nd mRNA shot to be considered fully verified on a vax card made absolutely no sense to me for young and healthy people exposing themselves to 2 rounds of something new that quickly. Then we Fauci said let's do 6 month boosters which means literally 3 shots in 180 days, I knew this was some evil shite.

I just have a natural disposition of not wanting to do what the government tells me.
Posted on 9/10/25 at 7:29 am to GumboPot
The primary reason I avoided the jab was because I got Covid pretty early on, and managed its symptoms effectively with ibuprofen.
Posted on 9/10/25 at 7:30 am to GumboPot
Natural immunity, as I had a mild case of Covid early on.
That being said, if there had been a traditional vaccine using old school methods, I may have been willing to take that. No way was I taking the MRNA shot.

I refused to believe that Covid was the only "disease" that didn't confer natural immunity to those who had had it.
Posted on 9/10/25 at 7:36 am to GumboPot
The messaging around it was so absurd that I didn’t trust anything about it.
Posted on 9/10/25 at 7:37 am to leeman101
I didn't want to have an untested drug in me especially one that had MRNA.
My major at LSU was microbiology; so I nearly jumped out of my seat when an "expert" said that natural immunity was not as effective as the vaccine. Natural immunity was doctrine as far as having lifetime immunity. Then all the studies that showed Ivermectin was extremely effective against SARS virus I pretty much knew this was a money grab.
And Pfizer this is for you
Y'all can go to hell for all those killed by your shite vaccine.

It was untested mRNA. Frick that.

They paid Doctors to spout this bullshite.
The same Doctors won’t own up to it now.
Ridiculous

I "lucked out" in getting the original strain in September of 2020. When vac's came out my doctor said give it another 6 months and let those who are at risk and haven't had COVID the chance to get the shot first. I was able to pass this information to my company.
Work wasn't mandating, but they were encouraging it. We did a good bit of direct work in medical facilities. When it was finally time to get the shot, there was enough doubt in the information space that i didn't want the risk,ad work started to back off the encouragement as well.
