Why tho?

Brain dead fans that don’t know shite and wouldn’t know what good music is if it hit them in the arse.

You could play ‘chopsticks’ on the piano for these morons and they’d think it was gold!

Historically teenage girls are per capita the largest consumers of music

Not in the late 60s, early 70s which is the era of what's now called 'Classic Rock' and still played a lot on radio. I was a D.J. then and STG (stupid teen girls) liked crap that is not in the classic rock playlists. IE, a favorite of the STGs in 1968 was the Ohio Express with 'Yummy, yummy, yummy. I got love in my tummy.' Boys over the age of 10 hated it.

That's considered like "ancient rock" at this point. Classic rock stations these days play a lot of grunge rock from the 90s. Depressing shite really.

apart from the Groban Christmas album, Ryan Adams's cover of TS 1989 album, and one line from "i been in da club" (that one), i know basically nothing of any of this mess.

MTV stands for music television

How much "music" period has been on it in two generations?

I don't think they've played an actual music video on MTV in about 25 years now. Saw something the other day (don't know if it's true) that both the first and last video ever played on MTV was Video Killed the Radio Star.

When the people in power push an agenda and try to control the musicians then you get crap music. I listen to Christian music now and it’s not bad .

Same reason movies have sucked.

No innovation. Formulaic dead techno music. No soul. No heart.

I've stumbled over some Morgan Wallen on You Tube and he's not bad and kind of old country. But I've only listened to a couple of songs and they were mostly about his mom and dad. But isn't he the one that got so tore up in Oxford that he had to cancel his second show?

Anyway, I'm You Tube Premium going thru my sound bar behind my chair so I don't light up the whole house. I pick my old country, the Eagles, I love Alan Jackson, and it sort of sets my rotation. The newest artists are MonaLisa Twins who do a lot of Beatles and CSNY cover. In the truck tuned to either The Bridge (classic rock) or Prime Country (before country went rap) and that's about it on XM. I don't know if my stereo in the truck even knows where FM is.
