Probably the simplest explanation of gun violence in the United States

This is just my opinion but I think it's pretty reasonable and what makes us different from places like Australia. Their gun control measures may have some efficacy but they're an island nation with the population of Pennsylvania.
Our situation. We're the 3rd most populous country in the world and consume more illicit drugs than any other country by a wide margin. Mexico is one of the biggest gun trafficking countries in the world and we share a border with them.
If there was less demand for narcotics consumption in this country I believe that gun violence would drop off significantly (this is sort of a big no shite statement)
Also worth noting that Mexico has very strict gun control laws and places like Juarez are some of the most dangerous places in the world.
We can't legislate gun violence away with some fun control laws. We'd be much better served recognizing that the war on drugs has been a failure and we need to completely reevaluate how we approach that problem.

When is violence not fun?

It would help if laws were enforced yet govt stayed the eff out of our lives.
It’s not shocking people are doing whatever when there’s no consequences and the economy is dicked.

they didn't.
homicide rate is virtual exactly the same today as it was pre ban.
violent crimes like rape have trended upwards.
home invasions and theft skyrocketed post ban.
the good news is.. if we follow the same trajectory we would still have 25 years until the camps.

I can’t find anything wrong with anything you said

The vast majority of gun crimes (>80%) in the United States are committed by poor male minorities between the ages of 16 and 35 in metropolitan areas, with a majority of these involving gang or other criminal group affiliations. And while a lot of these groups do traffic in drugs and the shootings are often related to drugs, if it wasn’t drugs it would be something else. That’s not the root of the problem.

This is so incredibly true.

what makes us different from places like Australia
Australia has a much less populous, much more sparse and much more homogeneous population than we do. They have 1/13th our population and nearly 80% of them are of Western European descent.
Perhaps most importantly, the rate of fatherless homes in Australia is 1/3rd of what it is here.

I think your basis is spot on.
So many violent crimes are drug related. Raped on drugs. Robbery of drugs and money. Cartel violence. Gang violence due to drug turf etc etc.
Hence why I have trouble understanding why people even on this board would advocate for legalization of all drugs. It’s crazy.

Follow the money, always. USA and Mexico have been globalist buddies for decades now.

I’m high as frick and have guns around me. I’m not go to or doing violent things.
The problem is evil and you won’t ever get rid of that.

Would you consider it to be plausible that the three letter agencies and some politicians are behind($$) and utilizing the drug cartels?

The majority of drug violence is from drug traffickers. We already have evidence of what happens when drugs are legalized. What is the amount of violence committed for alcohol trafficking today vs during prohibition? It's crazy to think that the majority of people will still buy drugs from a thug when they can just go to a store.

You misunderstood the point your highness.
The problem is not drug using. The problem is that most drugs are illegal and this creates a deadly market for them. Drug traffickers murder snitches and murder competition.

Ok. Now I’ll come in and say the ACTUAL reason out loud that no one wants to discuss. 73% of black babies are born out of wedlock with Hispanics and caucasians trying to compete with them for the title.
Black males make up over 50% of violent crime. There’s a terrible cultural disease of fatherlessness in the African American community.

You fail to realize a simple fact. The only way to settle a business dispute on the black market is through violence. The illegality of it is what causes the violence.
We're better off working to drug use with rehabilitation.

Not saying that isn't a real problem because it is. But we need to solve the drug problem. It's probably the biggest health and crime crisis in the country by a wide margin.
