I keep seeing headlines like this. And every single time, the answer is always the same when asked if they were here legally. And it’s always “No”

Didn't say that it did. I was just making sure I wasn't confused by the term "anchor babies."
They would have been American citizens if they had been born in Mexico to this father.

Things I have to do as a responsible adult so that I don't get in trouble or lose my livlihood:
1. Pay my bills
2. Renew my license
3. Pay my taxes
4. Obey the laws
5, Go to work and do my job
If I don't do those things, I should expect the reap the results of that.
If that persons wife didn't do what was necessary to become a citizen well... That's on her. Not Trump. Not you, not me, not anyone else. The only person to blame is herself. Now she's reaping the results.

And yet still, she wouldnt be. And filing against her deportation wouldnt use "anchor babies" as a HUGE justification for her remaining here, now would it?

If that picture isn’t AI generated, it’s a pic from educator’s workshop. Teachers get to go to watch recruit training and learn about the Marine Corps. They love it and I had a few go when I was a recruiter. If anyone on here is a teacher or knows someone who is, talk to your recruiter and you’ll get a free trip.

Not low hanging fruit. A deportation order means a judge found she has no legal standing to stay in this country. Probably explains why the couple has not pursed this any further. They (at least she) was aware of the order.
My sister works for DHS as a attorney, is a hardcore democrat and hates Trump. Although she disagrees with some of Trump's tactics, she says he is following the law and doing the right thing sending back criminals and people with deportation orders. Her husband (a republican) is a Federal immigration judge. Both say many illegal immigrants know how to game the system.

This is when they say American citizens are being deported. The illegal mom rightfully want to take their babies with them even though the babies are American citizens. Then people scream that “They’re deporting American citizens!”
