Happy to see we are all acknowledging what this war is really about....The Israel situation is just a convenience.

Was Iran not trying to develop a nuclear weapon? So, if they did and they shut down the straight, like they are doing now, what would you do to solve $350 barrel prices?
We couldn’t possibly figure out any other way to prepare for or defend against that possibility. Is that your contention? Because that’s dumb.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Dumb like this administration.
And also, they have shut it down now, and what did this war do to stop them from it? It caused them to do it.
Now what? They don’t have nukes, and we still can’t stop them from opening it without waging an even bigger war. They are making us look weak and foolish.

You’d have to be insanely stupid to believe that. Like insanely.
The pentagon is a planning organization who makes plans on plans on plans. They went with this plan for a reason.
To suggest “they didn’t consider a closing of the straight” is so hilarious to me because of how obviously false it is.

We can do whatever the frick we want because they cant send a nuke up our tailpipe. Options, we have all at our disposal.
Waiting would have been dumb.
Im asking, what would that look like? What would you do to solve $350 bbl oil, nuclear Iran, and ships on fire in the straight? If its so stupid, what are the solutions?

Consensus was already that pulling out of the JCPOA = incredibly dumb. Add the assassination of Soleimani in 2020 + this conflict & you’re onto the biggest US diplomacy frickup in a long time.
Idiot. not pulling out of Iran Deal would have still led to a Nuclear Iran and you would complain that Trump is weak for allowing that.

Where did you get that quote? Who said they didn’t consider it?
I would say the results so far say they did not have a plan for it. But since you think that’s so absurd, what do you think the plan was?

For this experment lets stick with the IF statement being true. How would you solve it?
Sure that *might* be a reason to intervene.
Ideally more along these lines

Right, and the fact that Iran did close it and we weren’t able to prevent that shows that even if preemptive war was the answer, we either f’d up in planning to prevent the closing or we didn’t plan for it.
Or Trump and company were just happy to let them close it for a little while? To justify a broader war? That’s another possibility.

Stood to block paths to weapons dev for 15 years, at which point the agreement could have been extended.
How on earth do you justify undermining our own diplomatic achievement breaking ground with Iran for the first time in +30 yrs, replacing it with nothing, and immediately escalating?
It was a horrible miscalculation and step backward on multiple fronts.
I figure you’ll be inclined to publicly defend your vote, or make some partisan argument here but off the record… just think about that for a second.

So, a CNN story with anonymous sources that states something unbelievable, like the administration didn't think about the most vital straight in the world, you take to heart.
But anything the administration says, you immediately discard.
I hope one day you guys realize how stupid you sound to normal people.

Who said they didn’t think about it?
You said all that bullshite based on your lack of reading comprehension, and then called me stupid.
How about you look at the totality of what’s happening and draw your own conclusions about how the administration planned to prevent Iran from closing the strait.

Anybody still want to claim the administration had a plan for Iran closing the strait?
