At the start of his term, President Trump had a net positive approval rating in 38 states. That number has slipped to 24, according to Morning Consult's August presidential approval ratings.

In Alabama, the president's net approval rating - the difference between those who approve of the job he's doing vs. those who don't - is down almost seven points since Trump took office.

Alabama, however, is still high on Trump, giving the president some of the highest approval ratings in the country.
