An announcement of a concrete deal that's been made and a clear timeline for ending this.

Or

A message that's intended for enemy combatants more than its intended for American citizens, in which the media will have a field day with (to my enjoyment)

Or

A message aimed at the stock market

Or

A message intended more for Europe and NATO than for the American people

Or

A little about the war which gives no real information, followed by talking about the ballroom, birthright citizenship, and other less relevant topics.

Or

Some combination of the above

Never seen people hate young men as much as old men.

Unless it is the navy, and the party starts in the lower decks.

They could join the chair force, where they can put their endless video game skills to good use.

Or the marines where they can use their crayon eating knowledge, and eat the best red crayons in the military.

Then there is always the bone spur route or daddy getting them into the air national guard and delay their training enough that the war is over.
