The last true audit of US gold reserves was conducted in the early fifties. Every review since has been flawed or suspect.
Ft. Knox has about half of US gold reserves, … the rest is secured at the Denver and West Point storage facilities.
It isn’t enough to visually inspect the reserves, …. a true audit would require drilling and assaying a representative sample of GFD bars in reserve. A very lengthy and detailed audit.
