We have a fundamental choice to make. Are we just going to go back to the way things were before the pandemic, with working people being cut out of the deal — or are we going to build a new economy that gives the middle class a chance?

I know my answer.

I know my answer as well MR Potato. I'll take what Trump was doing pre pandemic, thanks.

Oh wow I didn’t realize he was a man of the people. I can’t wait to see what he’ll do to help us out!

Who are all the "working people" who think they were being "cut out of the deal" before the pandemic?

Working people? Lol.

Such a dividing statement overall.

Don’t let that mother fricker wedge us against each other.

The middle class needs a chance for what? I mean, being middle class in America isn't all that bad. What am I missing out on? Why do I need to have the entire system scrapped and started over? What could go wrong, right?

I was a "working person" before the pandemic, a "working person" all through the pandemic, and thankfully still a "working person" on whatever Groundhog Day of the pandemic we are on now.

The government threw a little bit of change my way a few times, though it did not come close to covering the amount of lost money & time I spent on childcare for preschools that were closed by order of the government.

My capitalist employer was the real MVP by keeping me employed at full salary, no PTO required, while I tried to simultaneously entertain/teach a 2 year old and do some semblance of productive work that relies heavily on in-person contact that was prohibited by the government.

If paying taxes is what is keeping the middle class from having a chance, take care of it Joe.

It’s obvious that whoever plays the president on Twitter has zero knowledge of basic economics that could be learned in 30 minutes of reading

As a working person myself. I have never made more money than in did in 2019. That includes this year as I already know it’s impossible to hit the same number
