BS. Where were you when the streets were full of protesters just a very few years ago. Begging for American support. I employed hundreds upon hundreds of young Iranian males from 1984 to 2000. Many of whom are wealthy Americans now. And to a man they wanted the Mullahs out of their lives. Most were fleeing them and many, many of them got their families out of there. They would tell tales of how the people there were misunderstood as to their feelings about America.
Excuse me, but how does protecting a MURDERER in any way get those protesters to respect us? Or help them?
What's the price of tea in China?

American support would have destroyed their domestic credibility.
If you want to overthrow the government, the last thing you want to do is publically support the protests.
Those protestors don’t speak for the country though. They speak for the insular urban elite, and the city people.
If you assume they represent their country, you’ll be surprised on Election Day, the way Democrats were surprised in 2016.
You have the same situation in Russia, although Russian liberals are a much smaller percentage of the population.

They may be despicable but cutting ties with them would be disastrous right now.

He’d show real leadership by putting sanctions on the Saudis. Our relationship with that country is pretty sickening, and I remember when this was a dealbreaker when it came to Hillary for many Trump voters on this site.
All of this. frick Saudi Arabia.

No secret that I loathe Donald Trump, but I give credit where it is due. Realpolitik dictated the response to clear Saudi wrongdoing, and Trump made the right call.
CAVEOT: I sure hope that he ALSO gave the Saudis a firm talk to the effect that there ARE limits ....

human rights and America's standing in the world as a moral guardian be damned.
Love to see what Marco Rubio is going to do since he is so adamant that the U.S. keep sanctions on Cuba & have no diplomatic ties with them.

And you'd show real patriotism by putting your hatred of Trump aside in favor of love for your country and family if you have one. You obviously hate Trump more than you love the country that gives you the right to express insanity. Again you must not have any family or children who have to live here or you could give a shite about their welfare.
If you love this country you should hate KSA and everything it stands for
Here is a little hint all those Islamic terror attacks in the west are not funded or influenced by Iran.

because the Saudi kid prince decided to murder a journalist and dismember his body
In the grand scheme of things isn’t it more important to the Citizen of the United States to have quasi-allies in the Middle East which we get to sell weapons too (and thus jobs in the USA) and not see gas prices go up? May sound harsh but who really gives a shite about the journalist besides his family and friends? I would rather have cheap gas personally!

When was the last time Iran or Iranian agents attacked a American civilian target?
The journalist wasn’t an a American. But Iran sure like to hold our Citizens captive and wiped out our agents via Hillary’s emails.

I’m so tired of the US whoring itself to Israel and Saudi Arabia.
I don’t dislike Israel but I don’t really see what benefits our alliance with them has.
As for Saudi Arabia we should bomb them.
