The socialist may realized that there is no path for them into leadership without a black candidate.

That was only because of a massive voter suppression effort put on by the Republicans. They probably threatened black folks at the polls,simply did not permit them to cast their votes as many times as they wanted to or... worst of all, in my opinion, made them prove who they were before being allowed to vote. It is about flipping Georgia via the 3 or 4 urban areas. She nearly won the Gubernatorial race and they think her backing will flip the state in federal races.
