I feel like this helps Trump provided he doesn’t die or have a serious health scare like getting put in ICU. He gets the sympathy approval ratings bump and will get to declare victory over COVID right before the election. If this had happened two or three weeks later and was going into Election Day still with COVID he would definitely be fricked

That's what I think too. I only have known of 1 person that knew he had it. I only met him once about a year ago, and he seemed like he was about to die back then, and he wasn't even sick, just old and unhealthy. Lifelong smoker and heavy drinker.

As an aside, big Donny will see this through. What is it? 99% survival rate. He probably won't even experience any symptoms. It would be a tremendous show of strength, and vindication for the position he has taken throughout the pandemic (that it isn't as serious as has been represented, that mask use is non-essential, that states should open up sooner), if he continues to campaign and give interviews while quarantining in the Whitehouse. He also has access to that anti-malaria treatment which should at a minimum reduce the severity and extent of any symptoms, particularly if he has continued to take it throughout these past six months. This could well embolden his supporters and his campaign.
