Two possibilities here:
1) they are stupid, gullible, or benefit from the woke narrative, and therefore actually believe these things... and get some sort of white knight positive reinforcement of carrying it out.
2) they know the end result and either don't care or are actually hoping for it.

In either case, it is overwhelmingly sad for the innocent children being conditioned to this as normal.
Not only is it against the natural order of things, but it directly forces them to hate themselves for being normal.
It's some really evil shite.

Yea the hell with parents who cuddle this debauchery, but it really is a crying arse shame for the kids involved. Kids don't get a choice on who their parents are or where they go to school.

Had a good female friend growing up that was the personification of a "tomboy" in elementary school. She only cared about sports and would spend her time outside at recess playing football, soccer and basketball with us other guys (she could hang too, was athletic as hell and was better at sports than a lot of the guys were). She would wear football jerseys and athletic shorts when she was in elementary school, preferred eating lunch with the guys, ect. I still keep in touch with her some and not too long ago we were talking about issues pertaining to this subject. She made a good point that had she been a little kid today that she fears she would have had adults in her ear trying to convince her that she was actually a boy and not a girl. Being impressionable as a young kid is to adults in their life, she could have been convinced to permanently ruin her body in the name of trans ideology. Once we started getting older and hit puberty she became like any other teenage girl that became interested in girly things, dressing attractively and chasing boys. Now she is a beautiful 30 year old women who is happily married and already has two kids of her own. Kids go through phases uniquely and figure life out on their own. It's always been that way. The idea we need adults tasked with teaching our kids how to read, write and utilize math to also serve as a sex coach to our elementary age children is terrifyingly evil.

I'm actually not too concerned about this. It's Portland. Every kid that gets taught this stuff is probably going to either O.D. or be the victim of a gang murder before they graduate high school anyway.

Every single person behind this should be tar and feathered and hanged. These degenerates are totally out of control.

Don't blindly abandon the public school system; rather, be involved, know your teachers and know what they are teaching. Know the Administrators of your schools and make sure they are well-aware of your opinions. Talk to your kids daily about what they are learning - make sure they never fear telling you anything.

If you cannot get anywhere or your local schools are too far gone, THEN do whatever you must to prepare your kid.

White flight, avoiding 15% of the population without a justified reason, has helped to destroy many parts of America.

Completely abandoning your local public school system without a specific reason will do more of the same.
