there goes the revenue flow.

And next year they'll show a decrease in violations to which the media will say it's less of a problem.
Just like shoplifting, theft, or a host of other offenses.

Well, your Portland auto insurance is about to go way up...

It’s as if someone in charge is saying,” what policies can we implement to most quickly destroy our city?”

In order to reduce police stops affecting people of color, Portland’s law enforcement will no longer pull over people for expired plates & other motor violations. Last year the city abolished its police gun violence reduction team for similar reasons.
I am sure the 6% of minorities in Portland (not counting asians) are thrilled they are getting at the heart of the problem...

Doing the opposite of what common sense would dictate is the way of the left.

I looked also and was dumbfounded it was that low
They will lose millions in lost revenue because NO ONE is going to renew their registrations after this hits the books. frick brake lights, running lights, headlights, etc. This is going to be good

They'll cry for help from D.C. This is all for the new federal police force Uncle Joe will want.

This should work out well. No need to register, no need to get insurance, no need to stop at stop signs... good grief.

What are you complaining about? This looks to have been going on in North Baton Rouge for years and look how safe it is.

They might as well just drop a nuke on themselves and quit wasting time
Posted on 6/23/21 at 8:06 pm to Crimson Wraith
Well that’s plain stupid!

Of course the Twitter bots are in favor Of this and how it leads to "violence".
So, it's always the police's fault when you don't have a proper tag and threaten the cop about it.

I would rather them focus on crimes of moral turpitude than regulatory crimes.
Regulation crimes are brought to us by the nanny state and are really nothing more than a form of taxation.

What exactly is their purpose then? They don't stop riots and looting either

If you stop in Portland you pretty much do so at your own risk.
