I have been stalked IRL and it even spilled over to my elderly mother being stalked by an active poster who is currently banned from TD but permanently banned from the PT board
Based on that experience, I don't share as much as I used to and I am sure that's the same for others
FWIW, all the shite I have given you about the homeless dude, I never would have outed anything about you IRL had I known it. There are some lines that shouldn't be crossed and the bike thing I only knew of because TigahRag ran with it.

He wasn’t homeless and he didn’t steal my bike. Someone broke into my apartment when I was at work years later and stole my bike. The hitchhiking kid did steal my guitar but his dad mailed it back to me when he made it back to Dana Point with it.
The fact that any of that made it to the board was my own doing. The vibe here was different back then and people were giving me a hard time about helping the kid. It just blew up and the story has morphed into something completely different now. I’m not worried about it anymore though.
