How did Tucker come to this brilliant conclusion? I can't imagine 1939 Poland would be a threat to the Germans or Soviets.

He actually went on to ask “what benefit did future generations of Brits gain by the UK’s participation in the second World War!”?

My ears don’t need his constant laugh. To think there was a time that I had a positive feeling about him

You do know that Germany's conquest of France came after France and Britain declared war on Germany, yes?

Absent Britain's war guarantee, Poland very likely would have exhibited a far different posture towards negotiation with Germany over territorial claims and population exchanges.

Can you imagine if the world vowed to go to war with Britain or France over their efforts to expand their empires or to redraw boundaries and exert political control over others? Yet the borders of Versailles and St Germain are somehow suggested to be sacrosanct and revision incomprehensible by the powers who at that very time controlled territories and subjugated alien peoples across the entire globe...it's rather hard to take that argument seriously.

The German government at that time viewed Marxism (which they wrongly or not linked directly to Judaism) as the principle enemy to themselves and Western Civilization as a whole, of which they viewed themselves a nation of fellow nations in this civilization.

The Allied Western nations, however, viewed Germany as a proximate geopolitical threat to their advantageous power balance more so than recognizing the Bolsheviks as an existential threat, as the Hitlerian government clearly did at this point. This is evidenced by the Allies willingness to enthusiastically support Stalin and his Bolshevik faction in their war against Germany even after they had murdered, enslaved, and conquered multiple European states, including their own population for decades prior, all while their Communist political creed publicly professed world revolution and opposition to the West and its institutions. It's why WWII achieved nothing outside of overthrowing the German government and toppling their international sovereignty. The geopolitical aims regarding preserving other independent European states in central and eastern Europe and establishing a liberal, democratic international order failed utterly as the Soviets stepped in and filled the void in a very predicable fashion. They defeated the Germans and elevated and empowered the Communists to create a seamless transition following "victory" in WWII to existential civilizational struggle for the next half century and beyond.
