Police Unions make sure liberal mayors with an agenda cant terminate select races of officers because they simply dont like their skin tone.
Police unions do what all unions do best- hide their members from accountability under the guise that if they go after one, they go after all.
When did TD become cool with govt unions?

Yes, let’s dismantle one of the few protections police have in a time like this. I’m sure nothing could go wrong. And I get principle points to turn into Commander Shapiro!

I don’t think you English good.

I am generally anti-union, but when it comes to law enforcement and fire-department, I actually see them as a good thing.
They can stand between the officers and the politicians when the politicians demand they do something that breaks the constitution (i.e. forcing businesses and churches to close) and they can defend the officer against unjust politicization like what is going on in Atlanta.
It isn't like they are winning huge pay increases and other perks for officers. They are basically just being a firewall.

Unions protect police officers from wrongful termination. I am a law abiding citizen and dont need to worry about police brutality.
It's a necessary evil to keep some form of law and order. You do away with protection for police officers, there will be no more police officers. A concept that tends to evade the OP.

Work with the unions to bring about reform.
Good luck with that. Firing a guy with cause was one of the most difficult tasks I ever had. The final straw: a med error (caught before administration) that would likely have caused the death of a child. He denied the initials written on the label were put there by him. Accusation one from the Union: I was a racist. Being the only white guy in the room, I lost round one.
Round two was a different story.

Or they could simply start complying with the police

Breonna Taylor and Daniel Shaver I think would have agreed with you. Unfortunately they can't be reached for comment right now.
Look, I get police have a tough job and I am certainly not in favor of defunding or abolishing them. However to ignore that there's a police brutality and accountability problem for everyone ignores how we got here.

They also protect police officers from rightful termination.

Police Unions are fundraising organizations for Democrat politicians. Even when it’s the Democrat politicians that are always behind the effort to destroy a policeman any chance they get.

Can we get rid of teach unions as well?
They are also part of the even larger problem.
This is a bigger problem than you could imagine . Because of these bad teachers unions education has deteriorated which along with morals and broken homes creates the uneducated populace

Let's just get rid of all govt unions.
Everyone would be a lot better off.

They have now evolved into loop holes to fill politicians pockets. I think, in most cities, you are required to join the union which it isn’t free.
This, no public job should have a union. You sit across the desk from a mayor who ultimately decides your compensation and control votes to get him elected....what could go wrong.
Take a look at the HUGE pension problems in major cities, this is the reason. Mayor doesnt want to give you a huge raise so he gives you a piece and a big pension that wont kick in til way after he is gone.
Average NYC cop pension is between 75 and 110 grand....and dont give me the shat about cost of living, he moved to Florida.

Civil service laws protect bad cops, not unions.

Behaviors of the "victim" class needs to change. Resist areest any any country I have lived in, you will be dealt with accordingly.

It’s already hard to find cops to work in black areas . They have to pay more then other areas .

Who would apply to be a cop in a major city if they couldn’t get some form of legal insurance from a union?
That’s why they should have personal liability insurance which would pay for the defense. Just like a physician. The city/county/state can provide pay for base premiums with an officer being responsible for any premium increases on the policy due to his/her own claims/incidents.

Have to get rid of bunches of dem politicians who are running their cities and states into the ground first.
