Finally the police are arresting a parent because they knew their child was up to no good but didn't correct him

quote:

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, investigators determined that Grooms "has shown a pattern of a lack of responsibility for her juvenile son" and that she was aware of his criminal activity but did not intervene.

I hope this continues...lock em all up

If this is true, they are going to have to build a lot more jails...

Or Trump can build a Mega Prison of the likes that has never been seen before.

"It's very bigly and I built it for much less money than my predecessors, nobody thought it was possible.

"They got a lot of bad people in there... rapist, murderers, bad parents"

If they are in jail they can't be harming others in society and I'm good with that.

This is the way. I mean they’re already arresting parents of school shooters so this is no different if you want to apply equal judgement.

Been beating this drum for years. And better yet, let’s test their love for their child and allow them to serve day for day with their kid in order to lessen the time served of their juvenile.

"Nigeria or Greenland?"

"What?"

"Nigeria or Greenland? Pick one. That's where you're going."

"What? That's fricked up! How's my family going to see me?"

"CONS."

"WTF is Cons?"

"You are. And you use CONS to see your relatives. It's like Microsoft TEAMS, but for convicts. Get it, now? CONS. Again, which one?"

"Fuuuuck."

If Trump pushed funding to friendly states to build gigantic jails he’d be a hero. Baton Rouge needs a new jail about triple the size but nobody will fund it.

The dad of the kid who shot up Apalachee High School last year is sitting in prison right now because he bought his son a gun (100% legal) and his son shot up a school (not legal) but because his son had known mental issues, the dad is in prison.

OK.

If that's the law, whether you agree with it or not, then that's the law.

This case sounds even more cut and dry than the Apalachee High situation.

Parents have a responsibility for their children, including their actions, so if they don't want to control the kids let them sit their arse in jail next to the little thug. Bet that will change what's going on.

[quote]Baton Rouge needs a new jail about triple the size but nobody will fund it.[/quoteI don't know, but Id bet we could lock people up for longer terms and make society safer. I think savings of locking criminals up would pay.

Fund it by the cut back on repeat court cases of repeat offenders that will now be locked up and not committing more crimes. Less Police time making arrests, less court time appearing before judges and the enforcement people needed to keep an eye on them, less LAWYERS who argue and bill in defense or prosecution, less on parole officers, less on the whole dang billing and process to have theses criminals (i.e. billable numbers) running around loose creating havoc. Spend the savings on the lock up for mandatory time of lock up, hopefully to clear the prime age of criminals. Do this for a generation minimal, and see what happens. Do SOMETHING different for 20-30 years. Something needs to change as we have plenty of data where we've been and where we're headed.

One last comment...The purpose of the penal system and especially prison is not to reform or reeducate criminals. The purpose f the penal system and prisons is to protect society.

Rather than build a prison and pay all their expenses for the rest of their life, we should purchase an island to deport them to. No not Haiti, Ascension Island.
It would save us billions.

First time your child is arrested, your government assistance should be cut off. She doesn't care, because these kids are just paychecks. If the kid is in jail, she still gets paid. It should affect every aspect of their benefits; snap section 8 housing, etc. etc.
As the kid ages out, they have more kids it perpetuates itself.

First time you tell a black woman that her benefits get cut if the designated SSI recipient is involved with the law, this shite gets reduced with the quickness.

Is this pronounced "sha day" or "sayd"?
