You got 36 pages of debate. Isn’t that good enough?

Ooops, I just made it 37.

What you said.

quote:

One needs a high school diploma or GED to apply to trade school.

What you say now after being confronted with facts.

quote:

People with felony convictions generally aren’t eligible to work in the medical field.

To become a barber or licensed hairdresser in Louisiana, one needs a high school degree.

What you did between the two posts.

I didn’t make any statements about importance. You can’t do anything about any war anywhere.

You can't solve poverty or human sin.
But we can let our boys and girls at war know that we are behind them, we can let their families know we are behind them, we can support the causes and help the families of those at war. They have wives, kids, parents, those people are our neighbors, some of them are on this forum.

Just because you want to pretend you have no impact doesn't mean you do.

quote:

We have way more ability to impact what goes in our communities but often we’d rather bicker about things over which we have no control and cannot influence in any meaningful way.

You said his community is not your community.
quote:

Having a record is normalized in his community.

Many of us are active in our communities, and like you, we also have time to talk here about things of interest. You gossiping about how that guys life is a mess isn't helping him, nor his community one bit.

Matthew 26
quote:

6 While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper,
7 a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked.
9 “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”
10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me.
11 The poor you will always have with you,but you will not always have me.
12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
13 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

quote:

I assume your condemnation of me not doing enough to help someone locally is a testament to your efforts helping the war efforts in Iran?

As I've told you, vocally supporting our men and women in harms way is important, especially on this forum where so many attack them.
I'm not sure if you grew up with any vets, but they were called baby killers when they came back from Vietnam.
They served their duty, risked their lives for their nation, lost friends, and came back to listen to liberals attack their service and character.
This forum is full of right and left wing people of the type to attack and undermine our soldiers in the field.

And yes, when they come back I can do more.

quote:

How are you lifting a finger to contribute to war efforts in Iran?

What are you doing for the poor that isn't your job.
If that guy meant something to me I would bail him out.

You can afford to, so what good is this post other then you shite talking him like a day drinking Karen and implying that someone who isn't you should feel guilty that he's in jail for his life choices.

Again, if he or his family catch you disrespecting him, it's on you.

You said this, in this very thread, correct?

no reply, which is your preferred mode of communication when you get called out

Why do you do the things you accuse others of doing?

whatever bro. What would I have to gain by saying trade unions require a high school education if they don’t?

You’re attempting a gotcha moment because you didn’t realize felons generally cant work in the medical field.

Do I need a high school diploma or equivalency to attend Delgado? No. If you are 16 years of age or older, you do not need to have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Delgado Community College offers various trade skills programs through its School of Construction Arts and Technical Studies, preparing students for careers in skilled trades. These programs focus on practical learning and align with industry needs.

Ok sure. You obviously know way more about this than I do from your 30 second google search. I’ll be sure to notify the licensing boards first thing tomorrow morning.

I think I'm going to create 100 more ID's on this board just so I can down vote the OP more.

You really like using that term. Cover thy arse.

https://www.edumed.org/faqs/can-felons-become-nurses/

quote:

In many cases, yes, a person with a felony can become a nurse.

However, approval is never guaranteed and depends on several factors, including your conviction, your state’s regulations, and your documented rehabilitation.

Nursing boards review applicants with criminal records on a case-by-case basis, considering:

Type and severity of the offense
How long ago it happened
Completion of sentencing, probation, or restitution
History of rehabilitation and sobriety
Work and education since the conviction
Honesty and transparency in the application
Character references and professional recommendations
Some felony types, especially those invovlving violence, sexual offenses, or harm to vulnerable populations, are extremely difficult to overcome. Others, such as older substance-related or non-violent offenses, may be treated with more flexibility if you can demonstrate meaningful rehabilitation.

What did your student do? You failed to mention that. What an insane leap of responsibility deflection.

His case worker blames the President for her probates decisions, and you think “privilege” ,or the lack of it, is the real problem? The lack of responsibility is.

About being able to take classes there without a GED?

You did one minute of google searching and are claiming expertise in trade school requirements for certification and licensure.

What is your problem? You’re mad at me for telling the truth about felons seeking careers in medical fields. You’re mad that I was honest about their eligibility to do so. I’m sure there have been exceptions but generally felons are not eligible to work in the field.

You’re desperate for me to be wrong about this. Why is that so important to you?

But you have no problem with a felon leading the entire government/country and hand-picking the head of the US Department of Health and Human Services, who is ALSO a felon.

No consistency with the MAGA true believers.
