Boom.
Women, for better or for worse, are solely responsible for the decision to bring a child into this world. As long as that's the case, this isn't the "boom" you think it is.
Men get Zero say in abortion v birth, can easily be boxed out of any decision regarding adoption or not.
Women have that power, women alone, and men are systemically forced to abide by any decision the woman chooses to make.

How did you draw this conclusion?
What specifically did I post that caused you to believe this?

That's a failure for someone whose role is to guide and help.
What role do you hold in your community? What contributions do you make that I can use as an example to follow?

You are personally offended that I’m driving around with a dented bumper because I’m not willing to deal with insurance companies and fighting with them about an adequately sized rental. In your mind, that makes me an unfit mother and a bad person. Noted.

Why was your student on parole?

To be fair to 4cubbies, I can see how acting like she does would be mentally and emotionally exhausting.

K. I choose for your husband to pay my mortgage. When can I expect the payment?

As a Christian I believe it’s what Jesus calls us to do and is great even without that perspective so regardless of this setback you mention I hope you accept it as part of an unfortunate bump in the road rather than something that should distract you from the larger good you’re doing for your community.
I worked with homeless for a time and found it very hard because so many didn’t actually want help like many addicts and alcoholics, but to be there for those who are looking for redemption is admirable and I hope you keep at it.

You said women alone get to decide what men do. I’ve decided.

It’s very easy and comfortable for people who aren’t around “a certain demographic” to cast judgment from places of privilege but y’all just don’t know what some people are up against.
Oh, this bullshite. How much time have you spent behind bars? None? That's not privelege, that's choices. How much have I and my white family spent? A fair amount. I haven't been in a while. You know why? Choices.
I can tell you more about a "certain demographic" than you can tell me.

But, as someone perceptive to patterns,
I notice patterns as well...
When asked about his charges you attempted to mislead.
quote:
From what I've noticed, individuals are charged with the maximum amount of offenses (for example, someone driving recklessly could also be charged with not wearing a seatbelt, illegal tint, expired brake tag, etc. etc.)
This is a great example of you going all in on deception.
Of course then you follow it with outright stereotyping of the black community.
quote:
Having a record is normalized in his community.
Yup stereotypical.
quote:
He's a young black guy born into poverty. He watched his best friend get killed in front of him when he was in high school. It was a case of mistaken identity, but his friend his dead and he's always afraid that he'll be targeted because he witnessed it. That's why he won't ride the bus.
He or his baby mom lied to you.
They obviously dont respect you.
You probably embarrassed her with your nosey prying and she made something up.
That story is completely made up in every way.
quote:
None of this kid's charges are violent. So while he makes poor choices, his behavior is primarily destructive to himself.
Again with the misleading.
quote:
His original felony was related to a driving offense. All of his original charges and convictions are driving offenses.
But he never had a license...
All this effort to mislead, what is he a perpetual drunk driver? He's a multi felon?
Again multiple charges that you admit are
quote:
Driving without a license with some additional add-on charges that are similarly impactful of others
It looks like the judge is going to notice this pattern.
He's a public menace and should be locked away as he refuses to abide by legal orders.
He will kill someone if he isn't locked up.
This will save other people's lives and maybe his own.
But you can bail him out if only you actually cared.

Thank you. This one really hurts. I shed a lot of tears yesterday and told my boss and my husband that I was considering getting out of this line of work. But everything is broken and everyone is hurting. It’s just humans. We are hell bent on hurting each other and ourselves.

Simply, you can bail him out but you refuse to.
You would rather cry and gossip about him online than bail him out?
If he was my friend I would bail him out in a heartbeat and respect his privacy if I really thought he needed it.

It’s both. I’ve been in situations where I should have been arrested and was let go without any consequences.

That happens to everyone. You assume it doesn't happen to black people because you haven't spent enough time around them. Because of your position, you're seeing them after being arrested. I'm talking from the perspective of a criminal.

Don’t get too sentimental. They earn extra good time credits by participating in such a program. That’s all they care about.
ETA….I wasn’t paying close enough attention. In the case of parole or probation of course good time credits are no longer relevant, as they’re already released from incarceration. However, getting one’s GED in such a situation is very often court ordered as a condition of probation; parole, I’m not positive about any such conditions of parole. Extremely common in probation situations though.
I kid, sorta. I have no doubt there are cases of those incarcerated genuinely seeking to better themselves in that situation. But in all likelihood, more often than not what I described.
