I wouldn't call it a monopoly, but iMessage has ruined group texts.
I've always had an Android and never had any issues until iMessage emerged. No telling how many texts I've missed over the years and to the point where I will probably just switch to iPhone when this Galaxy dies.

Apple sucks at that monopoly stuff. I've been buying cell phones since 1997 and have never had an iPhone.

You can get around the blue thing without much trouble these days.
You can install Euro OS to get some nifty things.
Apple sells you a computer and says you can only do what I tell you you can do. This a fact. If you can't own what you buy then there is no piracy or theft it can't be owned and thus can't be stolen
Not being able to have a truly separate browser from Apple will eventually lead to problems for Apple. See I.Explorer and Microsoft.

That's a possibility, lol, but, no, talking moreso the random times I'll just not get a message, despite being part of the group text chain. Several times over the years, I've not gotten any of the initial texts and then get the rest of the conversation.
