I can't wait to see you get your lack of a moral or political compass arse beat.
Graves, like Cassidy before him has fooled the people of Baton Rouge. He won't fool everybody else.
Graves "handlers" are long time Democrat operatives who don't even understand what conservatism is. There are Republicans who are qualifed to run Louisiana, Garrett Graves isn't one of them. BTW, ask him to show you his college diploma.

Interesting. I knew the guy well in high school. He was a nice dude and a straight shooter. Wasn’t it him who shut down the drainage tax thing? Seems like a better candidate than any of the other yo-yos out there.
Where you getting this inside info from?

I don’t know the guy but I’ve heard his wife is progressive. His conservative score is pretty low for a republican.

Landry is the front runner at this time.
Why would anyone invest money and time to run in an election where they might garner only less than 10 % of the vote ?
Nice try op.

Lifetime Republican.
Some of you state GOP wingnuts need to get a grip on life.
Do you know what is a fact? Landry has been calling all of the possible GOP candidates and their big supporters and threatening them if they run against him. He is a dirtbag.

I have no illusions about Graves being somewhat moderate. He just happens to be very charismatic, a tireless campaigner, and extremely competent at running large complex government organizations. Those seem like pretty good qualities for a governor.
Would you rather the most conservative person possible who sucks at governing and appoints incompetent people to run government organizations or someone slightly less conservative who actually knows how to use their authority to accomplish their agenda?

Isn't he a Gump? Grounds for disqualification on that alone.

Graves will get far more than 10% of the vote.

I'd trust his moral compass more than Landry.

Jeff "it's his turn" Landry was the only runner a month ago.

1. I like Graves. He’s been a good rep for BRLA.
2. Graves is more in tune with Federal than state politics. I hope he runs against Cassidy, who is awful.
3. I believe that coastalrestoration/flood prevention should be a priority for any governor of this state. Graves knows all the players and is familiar with the issues but his solution has been to throw money at the problem. It’s the thing I like least about him. This $$$ has resulted in studies that form a conclusion that we have a coastal erosion problem. No shite.
Again. He’s good at obtaining Federal money, but he hasn’t been stellar at implementing. Which makes me prefer Graves as a Senator than governor.
4. Landry’s personality is off putting, and ppl in NLa think he’s stupid bc of his accent. I’m from the SOLA and I know Landry personally, not well, but do know him. There are things I like about him and things I do not. He is definitely not stupid; do not let the accent fool you. His wife is an absolute sweetheart of a New Iberia girl. You can tell a lot about a man by his wife. He’s done a good job as AG on the right issues but has also pissed a lot of ppl off, incl friends of mine, and is difficult to work for. That said, he’s really championed some good conservative issues and that Twitter lawsuit alone has made me take a second look at him. I was formerly adamantly opposed.
I think Graves would result in more of the same state government wise. I also, frankly, think he personally prefers DC and the lifestyle and doesn’t really care much for our more rural citizens. He’s just a little too country club to ever really relate to them.
Landry OTOH is a wild card. It could go great or freaking worst case scenario with him. There is no in btwn.
Either way, I think that if Graves were to run he would have announced already. He would not beat Landry on his home turf or with hard core Trump supporters. That may not be enough for Landry to win the whole shebang, but it is enough for Landry to beat out graves in the primary. Graves is an astute enough politician to read the tea leaves on that, and for that reason, I do not believe he’ll run.
I hope Graves takes out Cassidy in a smack down.

Why'd you bring Trump into this?

If people didn’t realize he was an establishment POS when he said that Biden won the election fairly, courts heard many cases and said there was no fraud, and it’s time to move on….
Well, they’re just stupid bc that should’ve been your sign.

He's seen as stupid becomes he comes off as unintelligent, because he isn't smart but is very aggressive.

It's all PR and not really substantive. He instituted a bunch of lawsuits to get publicity for this run, so people would say what you just said, but most of them failed horribly and were a waste of time. You're basically supporting using taxpayer money for Landry's campaign.
He has been an utter failure of an administrator as AG and that's going to be his main job as governor. You know what won't help LA? Complete disfunction, chaos, tribe-creation, and backstabbing in the governor's office. That's what the AGs office has become under Landry.

May be true

Probably true
However, I might be inclined to vote for either of them. This is Louisiana coma and despite all the pissing and moaning coma sometimes pragmatism wins the day

Sorry you supported a loser. Looking at your post history, you seem to be sarcastically great at judging character.

As an outsider, it looks like too many people/groups have too much invested in Landry for it to be anyone else.
Anyone care to suggest who they thing the D nominee will be?
