This is a really sad situation. But apparently these people decided to live in Mexico by choice and by doing so they willingly accepted the consequences of living in a shite hole country.
It’s no different than someone deciding to walk alone at 3am on the outskirts of Bourbon Street, or walking around the south side of Chicago in the middle of the night.

There is some truth to the "play stupid games" bit.
But to be clear, there is a significant portion of the population willing to clean that place up if the government gave them free reign and complete immunity from any prosecution.

I must be ignorant, bc I don't know who these people are, or why they were living in Mexico. Regardless, there's no way you can convince me that they weren't targetted by these cartels bc they are Americans. Why would military forces be a problem here? These people attacked our country.
What if ISIS had kidnapped these people from some foreign country? I'd want military action against ISIS. To me this is worse, bc we share a border with the place that these terrorists hide.
