The fact that you think elections are safe and fair when there are states that don't have some sort of ID requirement to ensure citizenship means you're full of shite.

FFS even Lefty Canada has an ID requirement to vote.

It’s what logic tells anyone who cares to look at the info available paired with the all out attack on anyone who questions the results. Has nothing to do with the cult leader that doesn’t exist that you mention here.

When a dead body is found, legally what is it labeled as? Male or female, right?

Hadn't thought of that wrinkle yet = maybe the next big cause for the 'woke' will be to add a new category to death certificates = 'undeclared.'

I'm interested as why you choose to make this about race and political affiliation, though.

I'm impressed that you are 'interested' in a real-life conundrum.

Have you applied this common-sense test to OTHER issues that are discussed ENTIRELY within racial constructs

= such as 'black lives matter" and "police are out seeking young blacks to shoot.'

= and voting accommodations based on 'disparate' impact on "black communities" such as 'voter ID = Jim Crow/Eagle'

= more police shootings of black males than white males.

= math and science are 'racist.'

etc.

TLDR version: death totals are still really low overall though Texas and Florida’s rates are higher than New York’s over the past 7 days.

Same for new cases over the past 7 days. And same for hospitalization rates.

Really grasping at straws. Big picture, the governments of Texas and Florida have far outperformed the government of New York.

The media is now latching on to the last 7 days worth of data to use it as a smear against states that have done very well overall. Not to mention, they are terrified of Desantis.

Why are they doing it? Because it’s evident that certain policies have been abject failures and they need to find a way to justify tanking their economies and killing nursing home patients.

Focusing on the last week to justify any of the previous statements here is missing the forest for the tree.

Number of cases and death statistics post vaccinations are relevant. For example, in the 7 days ending August 3, 2021:

Florida 123,403 cases; 427 deaths
Texas 74,487 vases; 308 deaths
NY 19,040 cases; 70 deaths.

OPs point is that as a whole, NY has responded worse than TX or FL. The last week plays into those statistics, yes. But the overall numbers indicate NY sucks at managing COVID by comparison.

A secondary point is the media is cherry picking the last week to make a comparison that FL and TX are doing poorly. Again, by comparison, they are not.

Cases are irrelevant.

Hospital capacity and deaths are.

I’d be willing to bet 99% of all of those deaths were over the age of 65 with multiple comorbidities. Also unvaccinated.

Sound policy. Stay the course, Florida and Texas.

If you look at the entirety of the pandemic, NY will have a higher rate. They were hit with the first surge early on. There were no treatments available. Remedisvir and Monoclonal Antibody treatments were not available. The science has progressed. They are now doing much better than other states. If you look at the death rate over the last 7 days, that has changed.

Note: States are ranked by deaths per 100,000. The list includes ties.

Arkansas
Deaths per 100,000: 0.61
Daily average deaths: 18.3

Louisiana
Deaths per 100,000: 0.46
Daily average deaths: 21.6

Missouri
Deaths per 100,000: 0.35
Daily average deaths: 21.7

Nevada
Deaths per 100,000: 0.35
Daily average deaths: 10.7

Mississippi
Deaths per 100,000: 0.32
Daily average deaths: 9.6

Florida
Deaths per 100,000: 0.29
Daily average deaths: 61.6

Wyoming
Deaths per 100,000: 0.25
Daily average deaths: 1.4

Montana
Deaths per 100,000: 0.23
Daily average deaths: 2.4

Arizona
Deaths per 100,000: 0.19
Daily average deaths: 14.1

Texas
Deaths per 100,000: 0.15
Daily average deaths: 43.4

Anyone lauding blue states and putting down on Texas and Florida should wait a few weeks. This thing has had peaks and valleys throughout and those peaks move across the country.

The big difference is New York is panicking when they had five deaths the other day. They had three times the homicides as COVID deaths but it’s easier politically to talk Covid while they enjoy a temporary advantage over Texas or Florida. MSM and their slight of hand.

Any prog stains want to compare the states should add their economies and population stats while your at it. Tax and spend liberals keep overlooking that money is mobile and can leave their bad policy.

You ignore the correlation between States' vaccination rates; current hospitalizations and deaths numbers and vaccinated vs unvaccinated.

Also your age assertion is not supported by current statistics:
