Philly School District- " Pay your childs' lunch bill or get them taken away

The district says that it is trying to collect more than $20,000, and that other methods to get parents to pay have not been successful. Four parents owe at least $450 apiece.
The district underwrote free lunches for four elementary and middle schools during the 2018-19 year, and WNEP-TV said school officials suspect some parents did not pay their lunch bills as a form of protest.
I have no problem with this... pay what you owe. Hell it's basically free/ heavily discounted anyway.

Taking the kids away should come with mandatory sterilization for the "parents".
If the taxpayer is going to raise the kids (which, let's be honest, is already the case for most of these people), then those people should forefeit their "right" to create more people.

We're pretty much talking about people who can't see past the ends of their own noses. All they know is that the $450 is in their pockets NOW.
I mean, let's face it, good decision-making skills isn't what put them $450 in debt to begin with.

The parents most certainly need to pay off. But they won’t. Also, part of the problem is that they keep feeding these kids lunch who have a negative balance.

I am not a fan of making the children go hungry. That being said, go to each parents house, daily, and whoop that arse for not paying their bills. Good people are tired of working to cover lazy people.

Did anyone here actually read the article?
The school district didn't say they could lose their kids for not paying the bill.
They're trying to claim by extension that the families are denying their children food.
There's a helluva difference between those two statements. If the kids aren't malnourished, the school district doesn't have a leg to stand on.

The EBRPSS sent us a letter years ago that said essentially that “since errybody po in this here shithole y’all ain’t got to pay nohow even if you do have dat middle class cash money”.
