I was stationed outside of port Au prince in the army after the earthquake and lived there long enough to learn the language and culture. Never met a more resilient, spirited faithful group of people in my life.

Haiti was the second democratic republic in the western hemisphere, 1st black democracy in the world. As a slave rebellion, they fought and won their freedom by defeating the strongest military force in world at the time, with the help of napoleon being stretched thin and bankrupt. Over time, corruption, in fighting and nepotism lead to its decline to what we started to see in the 80s through today.

I still keep in touch with good friends there and wanted their perspective, though i pretty much knew already...one of em said "your blacks think they know police brutality.. they should come here." The police are pretty notorious for imposing their will on people with little oversight. "Map Fe Ou Bel" is a pretty common saying attributed to police, "I'm gonna make you pretty(sarcastically, by beating you)." During the Duvalier regime, there was a special task force called the TonTon Macoute (means boogeyman) who would patrol the streets with machetes and chop off hands for stealing or littering.

What's the point? Well these are all examples of black authority figures beating the shite out of black people and to a much more violent and systemic manner than in america. So much so that Haitians see american blacks as "whiney bitches" (Jean Baptistes words, not mine). I really would like some of these fricking idiots like malcom Jennings to go live in haiti and get extorted by black police. It infuriates me because these fricktards are under the delusion that police brutality wouldn't exist if there weren't white cops.

I just thought it was an interesting perspective and figured I'd share. Let me know your guys thoughts.

Haiti and Venezuela are neck and neck for worst countries in Western Hemisphere

I doubt they have much to offer in comfort when first world countries want to complain about something

I guess their anti whitey revolution also didn’t shake out

Theres a line at the embassy there a mile long by 0600, many of whom camped the night before like it was some fricking star wars premiere, trying to get a Visa. People in America forget how blessed we really are. Its impossible to see this country's greatness when were all putting a magnifying glass to its proposed flaws

The biggest problem in this country right now is your institution for higher education. Most of these young men that attend colleges have been stripped of their man hood (particularly white young men) and when they are confronted by a Alpha male they coward down like a sissy.

Most of the black guys I work with are no different then me. But the one thing (like myself) they don’t respect is a coward. They know a alpha when they meet one and they know coward when they meet one. It’s all about respect.

Coming from a position which may harbor 'White Bias', I note that honest Blacks manifest a form of 'simplistic' honesty that is really refreshing. I think that is what many like about Trump. The 'aggreived'/"whiny bitch" crowd does like like these 'Uncle Toms', and respond with what they do best...whine and bitch...and throw a fit.

Anybody that wants to argue that Blacks aren't violently Racist/Tribalist, and that their 'bitching' is in response to White oppression...just go and watch "Rape in the Congo". End of that argument, at least for those who have any honesty left.

It’s a well known fact that’s it’s impossible for a white male Dem to be an alpha. They are ALL beta males and there is no way of arguing against it. We have a quite a few on this very board as examples.

I would venture to say it's low IQ that led to the decline. The most successful countries/empires in world history usually had some kind of technological advantage over their neighbors. You can't expect to establish a long lasting, successful country on physical might alone.

The US is full of spoiled rotten brats who don’t realize how good they have it. Lot of people would have a huge wake up call if they ventured off into other parts of the world that aren’t so pleasant.

A really great post, thanks for taking the time.

TWICE in my life I've seen bands of thugs in pick-up trucks with automatic weapons, and they ARE the authority. Once was in rural, eastern Guatemala and the other was on the edge of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

What these spoiled, white, under-educated on reality, Leftists don't understand is that power and authority WILL be in control, always and everywhere. WE are ever-so-lucky to have a 4th Amendment and police forces accountable to the citizens instead of bands of thugs with AK-47s

And this is exactly what they’ll get if they defund the police.

I say let them have their wish.

A friend of mine that was from the Bahamas would tell me stories about the Tonton Macoute in Haiti. He was scared shitless of them.

Scary - it used to be the 4th richest country in the world and living there wasn’t too bad until about 15-20 years ago

Frightening how that can happen so fast

As for Haiti - I think that’s always been a shithole - I have a friend who is a nurse and she’s been going down there for years - the horror stories are unreal

I used to work with some black people who were not native U.S. - i.e. Haitian, Jamaican, etc.

They could not identify with the blacks in our culture, and some were outright embarrassed by them.
