People who think Ron DeSantis is a less toxic version of Donald Trump need to understand

That their purpose is different.

Ron Desantis will make a fine President. He will be a strong leader. He will secure the border. He will stop sending crazy money over seas. He will build a strong military. He will fight wokeness, etc.

That is all well and good.

Trump wants to drain the swamp. He is not afraid to call out the cesspool of corruptness that is Washington, DC. That not only scare the scumbags in DC, it scares the people out there who want to pretend that it is not happening. They want to believe that we are a country of laws that apply equally to everyone and not a country of "laws for thee, but not for me".

I don't think Trump had any idea how difficult it would be and how much his hands would be tied during his first term. He thought the Republicans would HELP him shed light on the swamp, not fight him every step of the way.

How can you have pedophile scandal about Epstein Island and NOBODY seems interested in finding out who was guilty? How can you have a scandal about pay to play with Ukraine and China involving the POTUS and nobody wants to pull on that thread and see where it goes? How can our government flat out lie to us over and over about a pandemic and nobody is held accountable?

I'm not sure Ron DeSantis has the political capital, especially in his first term, to fight against that kind of opposition. I'm sure he doesn't have the financial means to fight the legal battles that will come his way, either.

Trump in a second term where he doesn't have to worry about who he pisses off will be something to behold.

Perfect indictment of just how deep and vast the swamp is.

Trump got stomped by the deep state. You think he can win that war? Ron may end up being a neocon globalist, but I think you have to ride him, in part because the system won't be as adverse to him. Trump would just be undermined by the FBI and CIA for four years if he gets back into office.

Also, most Trump supporters on here view the world as they want it, not as it is. A massive amount of this country has severe TDS, mainly women. You can get mad all you want about how irrational it is, but it is never going away. So, why keep beating your head against the wall? It's insanity. But, if you'd rather go down swinging with Trump, I get it.

He did a hell of a job with draining the swamp by appointing John Bolton, poppa bush’s attorney general bill Barr, ceo of Exxon as sec of state, Mitch’s wife as sec of transportation who is heiress of a shipping company (no conflict there )and woke star general mark milley.

It was a clever saying but he only put the swamp in positions of power. Never drained it

He didn't put Paul Ryan and Traitor McCain in power.

I guess you think DeSantis will lick their asses.

I'm just hoping for a stalemate again.

Because he will feed the deep state just enough.

You are probably right. Lawfare will never end.

Maybe schedule F is the way to fight back.

The cure for TDS IMO is Biden. If Biden runs these people will either stay home or see the light that Trump is actually not a big bad meanie.

Trump can win the general. Even with all the cheating in 2020 Trump came very close especially in GA, AZ, NV and WI. Get these wine moms to stay home in those states and these states flip to Trump in 2024 and he wins.

I've never gotten the feeling that he has ever worried about that.

So you just give up? The people who are telling us to our faces that they don't care what the people want, they are going to send hundreds of billions of unaccounted for money to Ukraine, which is arguably the most corrupt country in the world? They seem to be willing to drag us into WW3 in order to cover up their sins. You okay with that?

I didn't say Trump would win. I don't know. But we need him to try. But he will try. He's not going to pretend that the good guys are in charge. He will take them on. That alone is worth it.

Other voters aren't your kids, you can't punish them for something they do that you don't like

Kevin has exceeded my expectations so far. He has made the rules changes in the House according to the Freedom Caucus demands and released the J6 tapes to Tucker.

I know Kevin comes from a line of GOPe succession in Hastert>Boehner>Ryan but there seems to have been enough time and influence between Ryan and now to shake a lot of the establishment off of Kevin.

I'm just saying, so far so good and I know the future is not guaranteed.

Wray
Milley
Fauci
Bolton
Mad Dog
Mcmasters
Barr
Etc. Etc.

Some people are just naive as hell. Reminds me of Germany in the 30's.
