Says who? I can still vote for Trump, realize he's not conservative, but also realize he is what's best for the country and economy right now.
Or is your rationale, "Trump is spending money, so i'm going to vote Democrat"?

it's my personal responsibility to take reasonable efforts to not negatively affect the lives of others
wearing a mask is reasonable (very low cost and potentially high benefit) within that paradigm

at the rate Trump is spending, it doesn't really matter

If we don’t vote for Trump, Biden will spend $5 trillion, let Democrats hold cities hostage, and sit by while cities burn!

The virus sensed that masks were coming and moved onto more fertile areas. This virus is a smart little fella.
Moved on to places like Los Angeles and Houston considering their increasing numbers...
But wait! They've had mask mandates in place for a month now...

The people I know from my hometown who are non-stop anti mask definitely fit the retard mold

It used to be that the burden of proof lied with the people who wanted to compel action. Now, the requirement of proof has been dispensed with so that executives of states can, by fiat, order anything they want.
So called libertarians now cheer this on. What have the central planning dictators been right about? 15 days to stop the spread? No. Lockdowns are effective? No. The goal is to flatten the curve? No. Hydroxychloriquine doesn't work and is dangerous? No. Surface spread risk? No. Asymptomatic spread risk? No. Children are superspreaders? No. Death rate? No. Masks? No.

We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.

If everyone participated this thing would diminish rather quickly.
This is a lie and you have to know it. Even if EVERYONE wore a mask we would still have the same number of increased cases. Before this virus came here they had a plan on how they will treat this. Even thou I hate the plan and what it will lead to, you have to respect the commitment and outreach they have. Post like this where you tell everybody to wear a mask is what they want. The goal is to make sure that the ones who are against it or just do not care about the virus is the enemy.

Both cities have demographics who live on top of each other and don’t follow the news

You know that there have been numerous scientific studies that show that masks do not serve a purpose when dealing with viruses AND can actually make it worse when wearing something like a cloth mask?
Of you course you dont... you're a sheep.

Your masks and self-responsibility won’t overcome their stupidity.
Well, that and the fact that a great many studies are showing that masks are ineffective.
It's funny how this virus is still in its infancy, but as usual, the Left says the Science is settled.

The same group that believe that we have 9 years to live is telling us that masks work and all the other proclamations from my post above. Your notice of this fact is very perceptive.

That's not proof a mask mandate stopped the spread

I get it from muh civil rights folks. I don't like having to wear one. But, with how whacked out everything is right now, it's just easier to STFU and wear one. If it helps keep my folks and other olds from getting COVID, why not? And it takes away from the argument that if we all did wear one, we wouldn't have spikes. The optics are otherwise that you come across like this guy:

So? Why should that matter if masks work?
Also, those are both urban sprawl cities, rather than super dense like NYC.
There are definitely obvious reasons why their cases are increasing.

Also, if we had an education system worth a damn, people would know that correlation does not imply causation. Why all these anecdotal stories being published in support of masks? Because they don't give a damn about the science on them.

This is why the authoritarian left uses shunning and social pressure tactics. Shut up or we'll be mad at you! OK, better not make the anti-science freaks with pink hair mad!!!
The rules aren't even calibrated to get any benefit from masks. Wear one, unless you have a breathing problem, are sitting in a restaurant, are eating and drinking, are communicating with the hearing impaired, are giving a public speech for broadcast. If the mask isn't worn at all times, the research is clear that there is NO benefit.
So we're being ordered to do something stupid. The reply is TAKE THE ARGUMENT FROM THEM! All this does is put more idiots out there that think they are safe.
