Surprised??

Here are the predictable objections from the "But Monkeys"...

1. BUT there are more whites in the population. Therefore, more whites are killed.
2. Blacks account for only 10% of the population and obey and respect the laws in the same fashion as whites BUT account for approx. half the white rate of victims. Therefore, the police are picking on blacks.

LINK

Also, it's my understanding that per-capita, more non-blacks die during arrests than blacks. Unfortunately, so few people even understand what "per-capita" means. Look it up.

The false narrative continues. We, as a country, are so naive.

Wow, you must be a hell of a journalist to find statistics that MSNBC, Fox, CBS or any other major outlet can't seem to find.

Did you purposely low ball this number to sell your narrative? Black population is more like 12.5-13%.

Just be accurate.

See, the whites that got shot by police didn't follow or respect the laws either. This isn't a color issue, it's a culture issue and it's only going to get worse the more the media hypes up one type of killing while suppressing another type to fool those out in the world who don't know better.

The question is: what percentage of all violent crimes is each segment of the population committing?

Even a static look isnt a compelling argument. 2020 has blacks at 24% of police shootings. To me, this isnt remarkably higher than "it should be" - whatever that means.

But I agree with you 100%. If you look at the % of shootings by police interaction, the number will soar down. If you take it further and look at unarmed victims or unjustified shootings, we will be talking a handful of total cases.

i think a better comparison would be number of arrests by race vs death by race

We already know that the amount of crime committed by race is higher for blacks vs their percent of the population. you cant just go by deaths as a percentage by race and say there is a bias issue.

In fact, it will likely more correlate to socioeconomic groups then race.

a comparison of percent by race in the bottom quintile of income would show a better relationship on whether race is actually involved with the statistics of police shiootings...

In 2022, we'll add a column for social workers killed by the races listed.

Slavery and racism will NEVER leave the minds of Black people. This issue will never be solved.
Look around the world, wars have been raging for centuries regarding race, religion, historical events......

Sad, but true. I wish there was an answer!

The death rates are identical between whites and blacks when accounting for “violently resisting arrest”. Meaning, when a person of any color goes down the resistance pathway, they have the same chance of being killed. In fact, whites are more likely to be killed by a minuscule amount.

Moral of the story is, don’t resist arrest.

This is the key point here. Anyone actually have a link?

Now do the amount of violent crimes committed by blacks as compared to whites....
