This ticks me off in so many ways. I don't GAF about the transexuals private problems. But military families dependents are curbed with any cosmetic surgeries-even regarding new breasts for breast cancer. Yet a tranny is allotted a full transition surgery? What is next? All AD females/males can get cosmetic surgery on the taxpayers dime?
I am presuming Obama left this regulation where this tranny did this retro actively?

This is my problem with the whole thing. I am not a military guy, but I don’t know how much discretion they’d have once a physician deems it a medically necessary procedure.
We need to stop treating psych conditions with surgery. It didnt prove useful with lobotomies, and it doesn’t prove useful with mutilating sex organs.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills even discussing it in regards to gender reassignment surgery, but when a surgery is deemed necessary to continue service, you can still turn it down and med board (separate for medical reasons). They won't force you to have the surgery. Not yet, at least.

That doc should be discharged. Is this trans person going to contribute more to being in the military than the cost of it's surgery? The military should not be wasting money on shite that's not necessary. It's a simple discharge the person because the cost of that surgery outweighs the benefit of that person to the military. Even if we were having a draft and needed people badly, it still wouldn't be worth it. You join the military to serve your country and worry about your personal shite like this on your own time. In return for your service we should take care of our veterans for truly necessary stuff. You're in the military, whether you have a dick or vagina doesn't matter when you're squeezing the trigger, and therefore it's not medically necessary.
