Pence to campaign on eve of GA primary with Gov. Kemp, who’s facing Trump-backed challenge

As he works to fend off a Republican Party primary challenge from Trump-backed former Sen. David Perdue, conservative Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp will get some last-minute help from a very high-profile surrogate.
Former Vice President Mike Pence will join Kemp on the campaign trail on the eve of Georgia’s May 24 primary, the Kemp campaign will announce on Friday. Word of Pence’s trip to the Peach State to team up with the governor was shared first on Friday morning with Fox News and two other news organizations.

Not surprised. Kemp will win because of the democrat voters and the media can claim pence has more power then Trump .

Well, if the Democrat voters circle their wagons and set aside personal preferences and grievances during the primary and vote uniformly for the D candidate, and Republican voters instead declare “my principles will not allow me to vote for the final Republican candidate” and do so in unfortunate numbers…..then the Democrat deserves to win and Republican voters have only themselves to blame.

Don't you have to select either a republic or democrat ballot? Stacy is running unopposed, but that means they wouldn't be able to vote in any of the other democratic primary races. Seems pretty unlikely a large # of people would go that route.

They need to but they won't. I know there are some fine people in Georgia and I hate they are caught in the maelstrom. But the state as a whole showed it's mettle in 2020.

They did clamp down on the covid mail in ballot free for all with fairly restrictive legislation though. A tip of my hat to them for that.
