Donald Trump's Approval Rating Reverses Course With Conservatives

According to polling while the proportion of conservatives who approve of the president declined between March and May, it has since improved to the levels it was at the start of his second term.

Then why do you keep finding the need to defend it and tell people that?

Seems more like that's the narrative people are trying to create than the reality I'm seeing.

Trump is using Epstein as leverage. That's the only reason I can imagine why this has played out like it has. Dems didn't release anything when Biden was President and now the 180 from the new administration on handling the Epstein stuff. Really mind boggling.

You are watching the final evolution of near real-time polling in the technological age full of bots and the most hysterical among us and how their whims and reactions can dictate constant change and ever-evolving manipulation efforts that leave everyone, even the party and its leaders, drifting on the breeze like a feather.

No one knows where the show goes from here.

You also don't know how polls work. They are heavily filtered and the people who take the polls answer most of the questions themselves.

It fits my reality. I think Trump is establishment AF and has proven that yet again on the Epstein fiasco, but he's still lightyears better than any Democrat that has drawn a breath this century.

What's odd in my view is the panic with superfans. Why are you freaking out so much about disappointment in Trump on the Epstein matter being posted?

Its driven by grifters and supposed Republicans that have a history of opposing everything Trump. Your User ID certainly comes to mind in that regard

Well, you're either retarded or confusing me for someone else. I've supported Trump on plenty.

Why do you think every Trump supporter has to think the same way you do?

A true sign that Democrats or big money donors on their side are involved.

Did you forget that U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta —appointed by George W. Bush and later serving as Trump’s Labor Secretary — negotiated Epstein’s plea bargain? It was a honeypot of a deal.

The deal curiously granted immunity to Epstein’s possible unnamed co-conspirators. Though the DOJ claims this Non-Prosecution Agreement (NPA) applies only to Southern District of Florida, this NPA clause serves as the basis of Ghislaine Maxwell’s appeal of her conviction.

Oh, and the white shoe law firm representing Epstein? It was Bill Barr’s former firm.

What is the point here? Anyone claiming the Epstein affair is strictly a Democratic problem is full of sh*+.

How a future Trump Cabinet member gave a serial sex abuser the deal of a lifetime…

On a muggy October morning in 2007, Miami’s top federal prosecutor, Alexander Acosta, had a breakfast appointment with a former colleague, Washington, D.C., attorney Jay Lefkowitz. It was an unusual meeting for the then-38-year-old prosecutor, a rising Republican star who had served in several White House posts before being named U.S. attorney in Miami by President George W. Bush.

Instead of meeting at the prosecutor’s Miami headquarters, the two men — both with professional roots in the prestigious Washington law firm of Kirkland & Ellis — convened at the Marriott in West Palm Beach, about 70 miles away. For Lefkowitz, 44, a U.S. special envoy to North Korea and corporate lawyer, the meeting was critical. His client, Palm Beach multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, 54, was accused of assembling a large, cult-like network of underage girls — with the help of young female recruiters — to coerce into having sex acts behind the walls of his opulent waterfront mansion as often as three times a day, the Town of Palm Beach police found.

The eccentric hedge fund manager, whose friends included former President Bill Clinton, Donald Trump and Prince Andrew, was also suspected of trafficking minor girls, often from overseas, for sex parties at his other homes in Manhattan, New Mexico and the Caribbean, FBI and court records show.

Facing a 53-page federal indictment, Epstein could have ended up in federal prison for the rest of his life. But on the morning of the breakfast meeting, a deal was struck — an extraordinary plea agreement that would conceal the full extent of Epstein’s crimes and the number of people involved.

Not only would Epstein serve just 13 months in the county jail, but the deal — called a non-prosecution agreement — essentially shut down an ongoing FBI probe into whether there were more victims and other powerful people who took part in Epstein’s sex crimes, according to a Miami Herald examination of thousands of emails, court documents and FBI records.

The pact required Epstein to plead guilty to two prostitution charges in state court. Epstein and four of his accomplices named in the agreement received immunity from all federal criminal charges. But even more unusual, the deal included wording that granted immunity to “any potential co-conspirators’’ who were also involved in Epstein’s crimes.

These accomplices or participants were not identified in the agreement, leaving it open to interpretation whether it possibly referred to other influential people who were having sex with underage girls at Epstein’s various homes or on his plane….

Pelosi is old school democrat and knows where the bodies are buried. She understands that anything that could have sunk Trump or MAGA with the Epstein files would have already come out under Comey and Wray. She remembers how the Dem controlled special councils in the past were used to slant the narrative the last time around. The Trump administration is the first republican administration in a long time that is willing to play by the same rules that the democrats were, and Pelosi knows pushing this is a mistake.

She can smell a trap and is trying to dissuade her colleagues from falling into it. Trump wants to avoid the drama and focus on immigration and the economy, which are natural easy wins for him. It is not worth the headache of the constant media questions over a special council investigation, and not worth taking the spotlight away from major "winning" issues. That being said, if pushed, he is more than willing to let the Dems light themselves on fire.

If the Dems keep pressing, Trump will be "forced" to task a special prosecutor (that obviously the Trump administration OKs), and that person will be given subpoena power, a huge budget, and lots of leeway. How quickly does the Epstein investigation then morph into illegal democratic influence peddling tied to the global community? How soon would an Andrew Miller-approved bulldog find something that either trashes the Democrats via the prior DOJ, the prior Epstein clients, or the various ties to the Democratic elite?

Pelosi might be a ice-cold strong-armed bitch that bleeds blue, but she is also a long-term swamp creature and knows that any "headlines" this gets the Ds in the short term isn't worth the potential dirt uncovered by a special counsel... She is trying to save the new era Dems from themselves, and they are refusing to listen....

No, Nancy is the only smart Dem there is...She realizes that Trump is trying to gode the Dems to beg for the release so he can bury them with it....she wants this to go away. The list would destroy her party for good.

If he has the ability to do so why couldn't he have just released them and buried them anyways and skipped the last 10 days of fallout?

Not a gotcha, genuinely curious what the reasoning is.

I believe that if his administration just released it it would be perceived as meanie Trump trying to harm his political enemies....
If they beg for it, and he tried to stop it, we'll, that's on them....

Personally, I think it looks bad either way.
