Weirdest thing to me is that major parts are not made here and we don't have spares stored anywhere. I don't know what this guy says, but I've hears a major grid attack that damages these components could take years to repair.

Yep. We had a transformer at work for a large power generation unit go down and at first it appeared we needed to replace the entire transformer.... It was an 8 month delivery. For one.
You hit a huge area there will be a whole lot of fricked up going on.

Well if that would happen, the complete failure of the grid nationally where all electrical power was out for years, it would mean the extinction of the progressive liberal in the United States of America.

We have about 1% in storage for replacement.
We don't produce the electrical steel here. It would take up to 5 years to replace them.

Trump is trying to fix that but for now there is one small factory here in the U.S. while most replacement parts (sic: transformers) would have to come from Canada and China.
If Trump gets two terms that will be rectified.

Was talking with wife while this was playing. Did I hear him say that it would cost 2 Billion dollars to harden the entire US grid?
Did I also hear the reason why we dont is because of lobbying efforts by power and light companies?

Trump should give an Address, and appoint Levin's Guest to head up a Task Force and immediately address this problem. This Guy is exactly the kind of individual that we need to be leading. If we can't agree on this threat...well...

Or , looked at another way, since none of us would have to pay our bills and we would not be working, you could say it would turn us all into Democrats.
