"No no no, that is CLEARLY his ex lover who was locked out and decided to break in with a hammer. That much is obvious!"

Dang, is that Paul's death rattle I'm hearing? Whoa! It's a miracle he survived that nasty blow to the head.

Very disturbing video. Never a pleasant ordeal watching a violent assault on an elderly person.

Maybe he was there for the marijuana, which isn’t a drug (in California).

How crazy is it that someone was able to do that to the home of the person who was third in line to be President of the United States at the time and not trigger a single alarm at all?

All of the confusing messaging from the media in the early days of it made the thing stink to high heaven. Remember the conflicting reports about who answered the door, or whether they knew each other or not. There were stories about where the hammer came from too. After the expected MAGA loon narratives were pushed, we find out that the guy is a nudist commie living on a bus in the gay capital of America.

Yeah this video still makes no sense and leaves more questions than answers why the hell does Paul look happy and why isn't he in pants and why does the guy just out of nowhere attack Paul with the hammer. I'm telling you it was a gay lovers quarrel gone awry and I don't want to know what they were doing with that hammer.

why would his gay lover have to break in the house if it was just gay lovers and then went awry somewhere after paul's pants came off? that doesn't make any sense either.

the only explanation that makes any sense is the guy broke in looking for Nancy, found her husband. Paul being 82 years old tried to appease the guy as best as he could until law enforcement could arrive. Maybe Paul offered the guy a drink and poured one with him, or maybe just asked the guy if he could pour himself a drink? the guy let him call 911 so I dont see why he wouldn't allow him to make a drink as well.

idk if i was dealing with a lunatic I might think offering him a nice bottle of bourbon I have around the house would be a good idea to deescalate.

There are some cases where something not making sense doesn't make it staged or fake. The world is a weird place.

I think had there not been such conflicting reports early on, especially about whether they knew each other previously, there'd be less speculation. Either way, it all seems predictable enough for a home invasion until ol' Paul answers the door pantless, smiling with a 7&7 in one hand and a hammer in the other. Something about this is just odd.

The media's complete lack of interest in the story is also a bit of a red flag. They would normally feast on something like this.

Trying to picture being held hostage by some weirdo who broke into my house. As soon as the police came to my front door, and that door opened, it seems like I would have made a better effort to go towards the police. Instead Paul kind of hangs back. Maybe he was afraid of letting the hammer go, but he still could have started making his way towards the cops (with one hand on the hammer) for protection. Just seems like that would be the natural instinct.

well if Paul wasn't such a bleeding heart liberal he probably wouldve had a gun in his bedroom and couldve ended this way before the cops arrived.

Short of that his best option was probably to appease the guy until help could arrive.

I don't think 82 year old paul pelosi was gonna beat the much younger guy holding a hammer in any physical altercation

I agree with this. but he is married to nancy pelosi so his instincts are clearly not very good

That was my thought too. His hand is on the hammer. They both have control of the hammer when the police arrive.

So while you have the hammer say “hey this guy just broke into my house and is trying to cause me harm, be ready to go if I lose the hammer”

Him acting as if everything is cool is why the cops were pretty nonchalant initially.

You have the hammer in your grasp, tell the cops get their guns out this dude trying to kill me.

And a button down and boxers seems like an odd choice that doesn’t happen by accident... blowjob gone bad?

I thought it was a button down oxford type shirt at first as well, but there are other angles where it clearly appears to be an old man style pajama top.

maybe the intruder let Paul open the door while keeping his hammer ready to go.... but when Paul pulled his hand from the door he grabbed the hammer? the guy immediately tries to use his left arm to leverage Pauls right arm off the hammer so it doesn't seem they had been just standing there holding the hammer together for hours.
