Judge Orders Paul Manafort To Be Transferred to Riker's Island
"Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman who was sentenced earlier this year to four years in prison for tax and bank fraud related to his work advising Ukrainian politicians, will be transferred later this week from a minimum security facility in Pennsylvania to New York City’s Rikers Island, a source close to Manafort told Fox News.
Rikers Island is the famous jail in the shadow of LaGuardia Airport. It has been the temporary home of some of the most high-profile violent criminals in the city, including David Berkowitz, the Son of Sam; and Mark David Chapman, the man who killed John Lennon...
RIKERS ISLAND HAS BEEN CRITICIZED FOR VIOLENCE
A New York State judge ordered the transfer at the request of New York City District Attorney Cy Vance, Jr. He will be held in solitary confinement for his own protection, the source said. The move is expected to happen as early as Thursday."
White collar crimes, no flight risk. A vengeful leftist judge orders him into a prison for violent felons...oh and he'll have to be put in the cooler for his own protection.
Oh, and New York is charging him again for things he's already been charged for.
The message from the swamp: help Trump, and we will come after you.

Trump will probably pardon him on his last day because Manaforts silence saved his arse

i don't know what he had to be silent about. his role in the Trump campaign was pretty exhaustively discussed in the Mueller Report
by most interpretations, Manafort was being the slimeball he's been since the 80s, working in campaigns and selling future influence if his guy wins. it's just now that he was selling to Russians and Ukrainians instead of American corporations. Manafort's clear self interest is actually insulating to Trump, in a way.

But what crime in the Mueller report exactly did Manafort save POTUS from, consider PM is in jail for stuff from a decade earlier than the Trump Campaign.
That's 10 seconds of my life I'll never get back. responding to bmy, what a waste.

Here you go...
Hmmm...turning screws it appears. Mortgage fraud? Can welfare fraud be sent to Rikers too? Wow. Political prisoner.

Vance, a Democrat, said in March that a New York grand jury charged Manafort with 16 counts including residential mortgage fraud, falsifying business records and other charges. He said at the time that “no one is beyond the law in New York.” Manafort cannot be pardoned by President Trump for state crimes.

Yeah - I know the feeling
Sometimes I get dirty and respond to some of these thugs, and never feel good about it. Its sort of like picking your nose in public. That thing is just irritating you so bad you will take the snickers from your cohorts just to ease the situation.

Silence about what? Come on genius. Give us a crime.

Why would the federal bureau of prisons allow that? Also why is Vance wasting the taxpayers of NYC's money going after a guy who is in prison.....for the same stuff he is in prison for in PA. Maybe someone should press Cy Vance on this gratuitous action?

Would have been nice to know what internal polling data he gave Russia/Kilimnik, and why, and what they gave him in return, and who ordered him to turn over the data (if anyone).

Manafort had the data and made a few bucks. Ooooh scary. No one has even said it contained any Personally Identifiable Data. Just media being media and blowing things out of proportion. More Al Capone's Secret Vault bs.
