Considering police don’t have any legal obligation to help, what purpose do they even serve?

Looking at the charges, it makes sense he wasn’t convicted. They don’t even seem like the correct charges for the situation. That guy is an old pussy.

I think the guy is a coward and should have been fired from his job but child neglect as a caregiver seems like a stretch.

Probably shouldn't have said that.

Big ooof. Perfect opportunity to ingratiate himself back into the community, instead he steps on his own well you know.

Scapegoated with ten trumped up charges of child neglect, just to save the powers that be in Broward Co for colossal on scene frick ups.

I thought he was a cowardly POS before the trial but after listening to testimony I'm not so sure anymore. This was always a reach by the state though, especially after SCOTUS ruled that police aren't legally required to protect us, only to uphold the law.

I've never even seen your username before. I find it hilarious that some of you care so much about my opinion of bad cops. You must hate Trump too since he was highly critical of the police response. All law enforcement from federal to local is corrupt. And it's people like you who have the constant odor of boot polish on their breath that keep the corruption going.

The State: "Give up your firearms. You don't need them. It's not the Wild West. We have police.

Also The State: "Police are not required to protect you or your children if they are being slaughtered. Hopefully your kid has good hiding skills."

Peterson's life seems chock full of "probably shouldn't have's." He's a coward.

The Jury got this right. The case should have never been brought against the Deputy.

I hope we’re starting to see a trend starting where Jury’s are finally starting to nullify these ridiculous cases being brought by politically motivated Prosecutors.

He still has to live with being a coward for the rest of his life... Given his comments leaving court it doesn't seem he will have a problem doing so...

I can’t endorse the (non)- action of the deputy but the real criminal was on TV the morning of the shooting. He was the superintendent of education for the county. He permitted failure to address student misbehavior. I recommend reading “Why Meadow Died” by her father for a look behind the scene of that district.
