I’m going the O/U being Christmas. Seriously, he doesn’t have to say anything new for that to happen and just use his views on Islam. Here he is shitting all over cancel culture tonight and telling a ridiculous true story on an electrician being fired for sort of using the OK sign: Cancel culture is real, it’s insane, it’s growing exponentially, and it’s coming to a neighborhood near you. If you think it’s just for celebrities, no. We’re all trapped in “The Hills Have Eyes”

It drives me insane he still votes for them. The vision Maher wants for the world, he should vote Republican. He chewed out Adam Schiff (his own Rep) to his face saying he has no idea what he’s getting for his tax dollar since his state has turned into an absolute hellhole and that people and companies are completely justified in leaving the state.
I completely understand why he personally hates Trump due to Trump suing him over a joke, but he lets his hatred for him cloud his policy and who he votes for. Maher should be voting Republican at this point given how batshit insane the Democrats have become. I do think if you gave me 12 hours uninterrupted with him without his producers handing him news articles they want him to read that I could have gotten him and people like him to extremely reluctantly vote for Trump. I was simultaneously happy and gritted my teeth voting for him since I’m not a personal fan of Trump, but he’s the only option sane people had left.

If it’s pointless, we’re all totally fricked. As he rightly points out 80% of people are against Leftist tyranny, and I think it’s even higher than that. We have to get every sane non-tyrannical person on our side and to our cause. We can not give up on them.

He is only pissed because now they are coming after liberals like himself and center left moderates. He thought as long as he bashed Trump and the Pubs enough, he would be off limits. He sees the writing on the wall, and realizes eventually they are coming for him too.
I can't stand the guy, but he is the last lefrist media figure who is still somewhat rationale.

Let’s be fair to him here: he claimed that for years more on the Politically Incorrect show and I think within a few years of hosting Real Time he said just wanting to legalize weed made him confuse himself for being a libertarian and he really isn’t. He owned up to that one and that he’s actually a liberal and not a libertarian. I can’t fathom how an actual libertarian could vote for Biden when that senile old frick correctly said a gun ban would be completely unconstitutional and his future VP laughed in his face like a fricking hyena and then said “Joe, instead of saying no we can’t, let’s say “Yes we can!”” Dealbreaker to an actual libertarian.
As of what was presented to us in early March I wasn’t planning on voting like last time, then the riots happened that the Democrats defended immediately made me 90% on the Trump train, and then Biden making Kamala his VP, I would have quite literally crawled through glass to vote for Trump, and I still despise Trump. That’s how fricked up and dangerous what has happened to this country is.
Trump only liked to do 4 things with power (which even deranged Leftists have to admit is correct): tweet dumb shite, hold big rallies, get in the mud with the press, and play golf. Save for getting in the mud with a biased press, it’s not something I want my President to do, but he’s way, way better than Kamala Harris’s priorities.

Nah, that’s not fair to him. He’s been saying this shite for years. Said it both during the Clinton and Obama administrations and put his neck on the line to do it. He lost his show refusing to apologize for saying the hijackers were brave but fricked up.
I wish he stood up more when he was accused for being a racist when using the N-Bomb in an obvious joke anyone who is remotely funny would make. I remember what that Senator said and thought to myself “OK, he says “You come work the fields”, then you’ve got to make that joke as retort if you’re remotely funny or ballsy”. I’m not a racist, but if someone said that to me, there’s no doubt I would have said basically verbatim what Bill said. No actual comedian from Dave Chapelle to Bill Burr to Sarah Silverman would let that pass them up. They’d all be thinking “God damnit, I got to say it or I’m a pussy.”
The Senator should have been the one shat upon there. What the frick else are you supposed to say if someone says to you “we’d love to you come work the fields” unless you’re interviewing for a farmhand position? You’re not an actual comedian if you didn’t respond basically verbatim what Maher said.

I don’t think he’s claimed to be a libertarian since the Aughts. I think it’s been well over a decade and acknowledged his critics were right on that.

I watched the video. About 35 seconds in he says when cancel culture happens to republicans it is a "just comeuppance". Typical of him, that gives him cover for the rest of his fake speech.
Maher is only against cancel culture when it happens to his fellow liberals.
Sure he will throw out Gina Carrano as an example but that is just misdirection.

Stopped listening when he pretended it was justified when used against Republicans. No one is out here hollering about "cancel culture" when they commit actual crimes. Maybe the person who committed a crime is, but no conservative is defending criminals who claim cancel culture got them.

I’m pretty sure he’s directly referring to Marjorie Taylor Greene with her Jew lasers which yeah is ridiculous and antisemitic, but no where near as antisemitic as Louis Farrakhan referring to them as termites.

Not sure if you’re aware of this, but they got him awhile ago. He was cancelled in 2002 due to a bad take about hijackers on his show, aptly titled politically incorrect.
