I was at BurgerKing one day and this 300+ pound AWFL had her child(4-5 y/o) running around all over the play area. She was yelling at him to come out they had to leave when I got my food and sat down. The entire time i was eating she kept telling him to come out. He had crawled up the tube slide thing. When I got up to put my trash away I offered her my belt (even though I knew she would never fit in there) and she say "No. I'd never spank my child". I responded "That's working out great" and left. She had the same mindset about things as you.
