This is one issue I don't understand the Republican position on.

I had much rather see cuts that go towards infrastructure.

Have you guys looked at the numbers of what we spend vs everyone else?

It is the peace by force philosophy

I don’t agree with it for modern times, but that is where it comes from

A lot of the military equipment is in dire need of upgrade and replacement. Not to mention the need to compensate skilled military personnel to keep them in.

DoD conducting an audit for first time ever. So we're getting there. Be proud and understand MAGA is going to take awhile to right generations of wrongs.

I am a pro-military guy but have to think the amount of waste is massive. Surely we can cut 50% of the waste in the military without hurting any of our effectiveness

Lots of planes and helicopters have gone down this year because of lack of maintenance. Some have said that is because of budget cuts made in the previous administration. I’m no expert, so don’t get it twisted. But if that’s true, we can’t have Blackhawks going down because we didn’t pay for their upkeep.

Our military budget is $600 billion, more than the next 10 countries' budgets combined.

The reserve Navy fighter squadron in New Orleans who is responsible for helping train other units is using F/A-18 alphas and bravos from the 70s and they cant find many parts for their jets. The lack of funding for maintenance, spare parts, and acquisition is disturbing.

Eliminate waste and increase funding where needed. It shouldn’t be a partisan issue.

Considering we also pay for most everyone elses military? It shouldn't at all be surprising.

Let Europe fund 100% of their own defenses, many of them shite on us constantly.
