Its a clean bill, just a continuance of the budget the dems approved. The dems are now demanding another 1.5 trillion. The republicans are not asking for anything, just to be able to continue the govt and pay the citizens of this country.
People in America will soon be without food when SNAP payments are stopped, Americans will go hungry because the dems are demanding healthcare for chinese, haitians, and a litany of other people. Does this make sense?

Are you upset because I want to see single issue bills?
They put all this shite into huge bills so they can fund a bunch of shite nobody actually wants. Then they can point out things like military pay and small parts of it as justification.
It's all political bullshite.

Part of me wonders if this shutdown was actually planned in order to cut spending and reduce federal workforce without passing a budget bill

You said that, yes? Did I miss your description of what is in the bill that makes you so condescendingly on board with dems shooting it down? If not, why wouldn't your post be inclusive of those things so as to really seal home the point you're trying to make?
