What propaganda is being eaten? OT thread has had a mostly accurate rundown of the tactical and strategic situation as it develops.

quote:Nah. But it is weird you'd insert an alter to post this.
What’s weird is people confused as to why anyone would support a country defending themselves after they where invaded by a much larger neighbor.
In essence, you're right though. This war is about national defense.
Russia had warned for twenty-five years it could not, and would not tolerate Ukraine or Georgia ceded to NATO. Why? Because the military and economic consequences would severely impact Russian national security. Russia knew this. We knew this. Ukraine knew this. So Russia forbade it.
Barry Obama, who had all the military defense instincts someone like Rachel Levine could bring him, decided to test the premise. He orchestrated a coup d'etat to bring Ukraine, its criminality and money laundering capacity, under western control. Russia responded by walking into Crimea and warning Obama and Ukraine to change direction.
The combination of a dementia-ridden POTUS and painfully inexperienced Ukrainian Chief of State reignited the idiotic incendiary Obama-Clinton-Soros game of chicken with Russia. We dared them to invade. They obliged.

Every US Diplomat (every diplomat in the world) has known for the last 30 years that Ukraine was the red line that should never be breached by US or NATO..

So countries such as Ukraine have no right to determine their own priorities? Also tell me which diplomat not fro Russia said this and why.

When did Russia say these things prior to 2014?
Posted on 3/24/23 at 11:39 pm to ReeseBobby
What the frick does Ukrainian politics have to do with middle class America? You know? the ones that are funding it. We never voted on it. We never talked about it. We just get to sit back and watch our dollars pay for shopping sprees, new cars and retirement funds for Ukrainians, Russians, and the US ruling class. frick everyone who is dumb enough to fall for this shakedown. You are the actual enemy.

Putin warns Nato over expansion
Fri 4 Apr 2008
The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, today repeated his warning that Moscow would view any attempt to expand Nato to its borders as a "direct threat".
Russia has been angered by the 26-nation military alliance's eastward growth, and Nato yesterday said Ukraine and Georgia, both former Soviet republics, could one day join.

Article referring to the current situation of Ukraine/Georgia, Russia, and NATO
Basically, we made a gentlemen's agreement back in '91 that after Soviet troops pulled out of East Germany that NATO wouldn't seize the opportunity and advance to Russia's doorstep.
As it turns out. We lied.
quote:
“NATO should not expand to the east, either officially or unofficially.”
A British representative also mentions the existence of a “general agreement” that membership of NATO for eastern European countries is “unacceptable.”
West German diplomat Juergen Hrobog said of the 1991 agreement: “We had made it clear during the 2+4 negotiations that we would not extend NATO beyond the Elbe. We could not therefore offer Poland and others membership in NATO.”
quote:
On December Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a major press conference that: “The West had promised the Soviet Union NATO would not expand “a single inch” to the east, but “brazenly deceived” and “cheated” Moscow to do just that.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance: “had never promised not to expand.” In an interview with Der Spiegel later, Stoltenberg repeated that “there has never been such a promise, there has never been such a behind-the-scenes deal, it is simply not true.”
NATO admitted Poland, Hungary, and Czechia in March 1999. The next round of expansion in 2004 included the former Soviet republics of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, placing NATO’s eastern frontier just 135 kilometers (84 miles) from St. Petersburg.
In a series of security proposals made public in December, Russia demanded NATO publicly renounce expansion to the former Soviet republics of Ukraine and Georgia and withdraw US forces to the 1997 boundaries of the bloc, among other things. The US and NATO have rejected this, arguing the alliance’s “open door” membership policy is a fundamental principle for them.
Clearly the world moves on and situations change however if the 1991 agreement does exist then it is incumbent on those involved to renegotiate it and not to renege on the commitments made.

He am I the enemy? Russia is the one that invaded not me. Nor did I give Ukraine aide. Your position seems to be that since we gave Ukraine aide than Ukraine must lose and if I don’t agree with that than I am somehow at fault. That’s how liberals operate.

Hey maybe that gives you some idea how fricking weird it is on here to see people cheering on Putin on this board. That's not any more reasonable than what they are doing in that thread

Every few weeks or so I venture there to rile those pussies up. They don’t have any sense of history. That’s the nicest thing I can say about them.

Some PT regulars should invade that thread. Just looking at two pages was enough.

What a strange attempt at a flex. When you do this do you pat youself on the back? Do you brag to your wife or gentleman lover? On a scale of 1-10 how proud of yourself are you when you do this?

quote:Well let's see ... Cuba, Panama, Nicaragua, Columbia, Bolivia, Grenada, etc could speak to that.
So countries such as Ukraine have no right to determine their own priorities?
Countries existing in the shadow of a disproportionately powerful neighbor have all the rights to determine their own priorities any country does ... as long as those priorities don't negatively impact their neighbor.

Africans kill each other every day. Why are you not on here screaming about that? When did we become the world police? How stupid are you to not see how easy it is to fabricate and manipulate a global invasion? Guess what Ukraine and Russia are two extremely corrupt countiries. You know who else is extremely corrupt? The US. Whats an easy cash flow? Russia invading Ukraine. The media would not lie you say? Get the frick out. Its not fricking rocket science. If Russia was the big bad boogey man that we dont want to fight here so we send billions of dollars to stop them there yet they cant even take Ukraine...then you need to stop and think whos benefiting from this? Its not the taxpayers, we just provide the money. Dont be a simpleton.
